| Whether playing solo or in pairs in local co-op mode, players can take on the role of the Grinch or Max, his faithful 4-legged companion, determined to ruin Christmas and steal presents from the people of Chouville. In this 2D platform game, they’ll have to work their way through levels to collect puzzle pieces and unlock special abilities. Disguised as Santa Claus or riding their snowboards, they can race through the town’s streets and spoil the Christmas spirit!
The title invites players to cross paths with characters from the tale in three colorful, festive worlds – the Grinch’s grotto, the countryside and Chouville – faithful to the illustrations by Doctor Seuss. They’ll have to help the Grinch discover the true spirit of Christmas and triple the size of his heart!
First published in 1957, the story of the Grinch has captured the hearts of millions of families and is part of the long tradition of Christmas tales. Published earlier this year by Dr Seuss Enterprises and Random House Children’s Books, the sequel takes place a year after the events of the book. Back in Chouville, the Grinch sets out to win the Christmas wreath with the most spectacular tree. It’s then that an old acquaintance takes it upon himself to teach him a valuable lesson about the Christmas spirit. Since its inception, the franchise continues to break all records: the hashtag #grinch accumulates 9.3 billion views on TikTok, the license generated over 15 billion impressions in 2022, and the film adaptation “The Grinch” released in 2018 became the world’s most popular Christmas movie
