Today, The Pokémon Company International announced that the new expansion to the popular Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) Scarlet and Violet – Temporal Forces will be available in all participating stores worldwide from March 22, 2024.
HIGH-TECH cards made their first appearance in the Black & White series and are back in the Scarlet and Violet – Temporal Forces expansion of the Pokémon CCG, as announced at the Pokémon World Championships 2023. HIGH-TECH cards have powerful effects, but each deck can only contain one HIGH-TECH card. What’s more, the HIGH-TECH cards in the Scarlet and Violet – Temporal Forces expansion will have a beautiful new look in magenta colors, and will appear as Trainer or Special Energy cards.
The new expansion will also feature new Pokémon, including Serpente-Eau and Vert-de-Fer; two Pokémon discovered in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games. Trainers will also be able to obtain new Pokémon and Trainer cards for Time Past and Time Future, as well as other Pokémon-ex Teracristal whose type has changed.
The expansion’s most noteworthy cards are :
- 7 HIGH-TECH Dresseur and Special Energy cards;
- 13 Pokémon-ex and 2 Pokémon-ex Teracrystal;
- 22 Pokémon “rare illustration” cards;
- 10 Pokémon and “special rare illustration” Supporter cards;
- 6 “hyper rare” gold textured cards
The Scarlet and Violet – Temporal Forces expansion will be available in boosters and Elite Dresser Boxes, as well as in special collections in participating stores worldwide.
In addition, prior to the release of the tabletop version, Trainers will be able to play with Scarlet and Violet – Temporal Forces digitally via the Pokémon Live JCC app on iOS, Android, macOS and Windows on March 21, 2024. Trainers can collect and battle with the new HIGH-TECH cards, and receive in-game bonuses as soon as they log in to the app.
