Sony presents its endurance champion: the Xperia 10 VI and its 2-day battery life

Sony is pleased to present its new mid-range smartphone: the Xperia 10 VI. Equipped with a powerful battery providing two days’ autonomy in a lightweight casing, it is particularly comfortable and easy to handle with just one hand. Its water-resistant screen uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for long-lasting durability. Thanks to its improved chipset and optimized battery, video streaming time has been extended by around 10% compared with the previous model. The Xperia 10 VI is also equipped with a new ” Video Creator ” application that makes it easy to shoot and edit content to create videos quickly. The front stereo speakers have also evolved from the previous model, with increased maximum volume and a wider dynamic range offering boosted bass and treble for even clearer sound.

Durable and compact

The Xperia 10 VI is equipped with a high-capacity battery offering superior autonomy for everyday viewing, listening and content capture needs. What’s more, it weighs just 164g thanks to its exceptionally light and compact design.

The Xperia 10 VI ‘s battery integrity is maintained for three years thanks to Sony’s charging technologies designed to preserve it over time. Battery protection prevents overcharging, while Xperia Adaptive Charging constantly monitors the phone’s charging process to avoid exposing the battery to unnecessary voltage. Charging speed has also been improved.

The dimensions of the chassis (155 mm long and 68 mm wide) enable it to be presented in a highly ergonomic format, and the rear panel features a soft-touch, matt-white semi-transparent resin material. Waterproof and dustproof to IP65/68, the screen features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which is extremely resistant to drops and scratches for enhanced durability and an optimal experience.

Backed by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 mobile platform, enhanced chipset performance and optimized energy efficiency save battery life and extend video streaming times by around 10% compared with the previous model.

The ” Video Creator ” application makes it effortless to create short videos from captured photos and videos. Simply select the files and adjust the playback time to generate a video in under a minute.

The dual rear lens offers shooting versatility based on three focal lengths (16mm, 26mm and 52mm). Equivalent to a 2x optical zoom, it lets you get up close to subjects without fear of losing image quality. It also features a chromatic effects function that lets you take photos using a selection of predefined color options, then upload them directly to social networks without any retouching.

Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is not limited to photography; it is just as effective with videos, for the 26mm and 52mm wide-angle lenses. When shooting video in motion, Sony’s exclusive Optical SteadyShot technology guarantees clear, stable results.

The Xperia 10 VI simplifies shooting by incorporating AI-assisted Scene Detection technology, which autonomously selects the optimum settings to capture the perfect image.

With Xperia, taking selfies has never been easier. In fact, the camera will automatically trigger a 2-second countdown to give you time to prepare before taking your selfie.

A pocket cinema

Thanks to its front stereo speakers and their wider dynamic range than on the previous model, it produces naturally balanced sound quality with optimized treble and bass. What’s more, the 6.1″ Full HD OLED screen is equipped with ” Triluminous Display for mobile “, a technology originally developed for Sony BRAVIA TVs. Sony’s commitment to sustainable development

The Sony Group has defined a ” Road to Zero” environmental plan aimed at achieving zero environmental impact by 2050. To achieve this, Sony is taking action while setting progressive medium-term environmental targets, under which the group aims to eliminate plastic packaging materials for newly-designed small products by 2025.

The product box and inner packaging of the Xperia 10 VI are thus made from Sony’s original material mix of bamboo, sugarcane fiber and recycled paper, resulting in plastic-free individual packaging. In addition to Sony’s ongoing efforts to reduce plastic, the tape used to close shipping cartons has been replaced by paper to make packaging more environmentally friendly.

Around 50% of the raw materials used for some of the parts inside and outside the main chassis are environmentally-friendly resins (recycled resins, plant-based resins, etc.), such as SORPLAS, a recycled fire-retardant plastic developed by Sony.

Case with stand for Xperia 10 VI

The Xperia 10 VI comes with optional shells (three colors) incorporating a practical stand for live streaming and video chats.

This ultra-flat shell is designed to fit the Xperia 10 VI chassis perfectly, combining ease of handling with functionality. A new hand grip is also included for added comfort. Not only does it offer stable support on the fingers, but also around the neck, when combined with a neck strap (not included). Sony’s recycled SORPLAS is also part of the shell components.
