Titan Forge Games has released the seventh patch of SMITE 2’s closed alpha, aimed at expanding the list of playable gods and continuing to improve gameplay systems. Poseidon, Thor and Cupid join the list of gods players can select, having all been long-standing mainstays of the original SMITE.
Poseidon, the Greek god of the oceans, commands the tides to control the battlefield. His water-based abilities can slow, damage and repel enemies. With his ultimate ability, Poseidon summons a monstrous kraken, blowing up several targets at once.
Thor is the god of thunder in Norse mythology. In SMITE 2, he’s a fearless warrior known for his fast, high-impact attacks with his legendary hammer, Mjolnir. Thor’s ultimate allows him to leap into the sky and crash down with force, taking enemies by surprise and turning battles upside down.
The Roman god of love, Cupid is a mischievous god with a quiver of heart-tipped arrows. His high-speed attacks and healing skills make him an excellent choice for players who prefer a supportive yet offensive style of play.
