Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe S.A.S. celebrated the TEKKEN World Tour 2024 World Final on Sunday evening in Tokyo, crowning VARREL | Rangchu as champion after an intense battle with Falcons | Atif Butt. The game’s finale was also the occasion for exciting announcements, unveiling the TEKKEN World Tour 2025 and plans for TEKKEN™ 8 Season 2, which will kick off in Spring 2025. Players will also be able to tune in to the Game Awards on December 12, for the reveal of the final DLC character from Season 1.
Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, TEKKEN 8 harnesses the power of the Unreal® Engine 5 to push the boundaries of fighting games. The long-awaited sequel to the legendary franchise is one of the highest-rated titles in the series. It continues to deliver fresh content following its launch in January 2024, adding a new story mode chapter for the first time and offering players new characters, levels, items and collaborations with leading brands such as NIKE and Gentle Monster. TEKKEN 8 is available now on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

At the event, updates were also revealed for TEKKEN 8, such as the Photo mode, which has been further enhanced, with a player search function that allows players to locate other people, using their TEKKEN ID. In addition, bonus levels will be added to the Fight Pass, offering players even more rewards and challenges. Further details on upcoming content will be revealed at a later date.
