Publisher Dotemu (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Streets of Rage 4) and studio The Game Kitchen (Blasphemous series) today announce NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound, a 2D side-scrolling platform action game that channels the classic and modern spirit of KOEI TECMO GAMES‘ NINJA GAIDEN trilogy for the NES, in an all-new adventure to be released insummer 2025 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Accompanied by a trailer showcasing the game’s spectacular gameplay, the surprise announcement of NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound took fans by surprise at the Game Awards.

NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound features a new hero, Kenji Mozu, a young ninja from the Hayabusa clan in the village of the same name. After Ryu Hayabusa left for America to avenge his father, the veil between the human and demon worlds was suddenly torn, opening the door to darkness. Determined to protect his people, Kenji Mozu takes up arms to face the demonic threat at the village gates.
With the same spirited, challenging agility for which the series is renowned, NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound’s side-scrolling combat and action offer a warm welcome to newcomers, while retaining a sharp sense of challenge.
