KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Gust invite all fans to explore the Kingdom of Fiore in their new action-RPG, FAIRY TAIL 2, now available worldwide on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch™ and Windows PC via Steam®. To celebrate, fans can look forward to a brand-new trailer and exclusive new artwork by Hiro Mashima, creator of the original FAIRY TAIL manga and anime series.
A direct sequel to the 2020 game and based on the acclaimed FAIRY TAIL franchise, this new action-RPG plunges players into the frenetic climax of the Arc of the Arbaless Empire. Thanks to a reworked combat system, players will discover magical battles that are more spectacular and exhilarating than ever. Playing as members of the FAIRY TAIL guild, such as Natsu and Lucy, fans can freely and seamlessly explore the Kingdom of Fiore, while battling Zeleph, Emperor Spriggan, his elite team, the 12 of Spriggan and the Black Dragon Acnologia.
A completely new story, “The Key to the Unknown”, will also allow fans to discover new events taking place after the final battle. Over the course of four exclusive chapters, players will take part in a variety of quests and meet many unexpected characters. They will also explore iconic locations from the anime and manga, as well as brand-new locations from the FAIRY TAIL 2 game.
Additional details on upcoming DLC have also been revealed. The first DLC will be available on December 23, 2024, and will include the “Complete Set” and “Miss FAIRY TAIL Contest” costumes. From January 2025, additional DLC will be available, including the bonus scenario “FAIRY TAIL Hot Springs” and other items such as an “Outfit Set: Swimsuit”.
FAIRY TAIL 2 is now available in standard and FAIRY TAIL 2 Digital Deluxe editions, which include the base game, alternative costumes in collaboration with the Atelier Ryza series, a bonus “Atelier Lucy”, as well as various useful in-game items.
To continue the adventure, fans can also purchase the Season Pass, which will include a bonus scenario, an arena where they can re-challenge bosses, more playable characters, alternative costumes for Erza and Wendy, and much more.
All players who purchase the game digitally before January 6, 2025 will receive the “Natsu d’Edolas” bonus costume for Natsu.
In addition to the standard edition, fans can now pre-order two special editions: the FAIRY TAIL 2 GUILD BOX edition, which includes the base game, the visual artbook ” Sorcerer Magazine Special Issue: Game Release Edition Vol.2 ” inspired by the ” Sorcerer Magazine ” seen in the original work, a special Shikishi with holographic finish (3 variants in total), and more. Fans can also purchase the FAIRY TAIL 2 COMBO SET edition, which contains, in addition to the items included in the GUILD BOX, a special canvas illustration featuring the signature of series creator Hiro Mashima.
