Acer unveils the new Swift Go and Aspire Vero 16: power and eco-friendly design at the heart of innovation

Winner of the CES Innovation Award 2025, the Aspire Vero 16 marks a decisive step towards carbon neutrality and is the world’s first laptop made from biosourced oyster shells. Acer is also expanding its offering with cutting-edge 5G mobile and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity solutions.

Las Vegas, January 6, 2025 – Today, Acer announces new models in its Swift Go range, renowned for its versatility, as well as the new eco-friendly Aspire Vero 16 laptop. These products combine performance, increased energy efficiency, quality screens and sustainable design, all designed for the PC era marked by the rise of AI.

The Acer Swift Go 14 and 16, with their ultra-thin, lightweight designs, offer optimum performance for users on the move. Available in 3K OLED or 2K IPS versions, these models guarantee a striking display while integrating AI features that simplify everyday tasks.

The Aspire Vero 16, a carbon-neutral laptop and the world’s first to incorporate materials made from bio-sourced oyster shells[3]features a chassis made from 70% PCR (post-consumer-recycled) plastic[2] and bio-sourced materials. Acer Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14: power and mobility redefined

The new Swift Go 16 (SFG16-73/T) and Swift Go 14 (SFG14-74/T) meet the needs of users who demand performance, mobility and display quality in equal measure. Equipped with the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra 200H series processors and Intel Arc graphics, these Swift Go offer up to 99 TOPS of AI directly on the device for efficient handling of demanding projects, as well as up to 27.30 hours of autonomy in video playback. With up to 32 GB LPDDR5X memory and 2 TB[5] M.2 SSD storage, they guarantee smooth multitasking and ample storage space.

A range of AI-powered tools makes both working and creating easier. The everyday AI companion, Microsoft Copilot, provides inspiration, creativity and instant answers, enabling users to focus on their tasks and get them done quickly. Acer LiveArt™ 2.0 energizes everyday creative projects, while Acer PurifiedVoice™ 2.0 and Acer PurifiedView™ 2.0 perfect online communication. The 16- and 14-inch models offer outstanding displays, available with a 3K OLED panel or a 2K IPS touchscreen.
