Hiroki Totoki, President, COO and CFO of Sony Group Corporation, spoke at Sony’s press conference on Monday, January 6. Along with other speakers, he announced several seminal initiatives leading to Sony’s “Vision of Creative Entertainment”, including new solutions that extend creative freedom such as a new vehicle management system and the latest spatialized content creation solutions. In addition to new animation initiatives designed to expand the fan community, Sony also highlighted new projects to transform game franchises into visual works, to create in collaboration with music artists, and for new localization-based entertainment experiences, all designed to extend the universe of game franchises in many ways. On this occasion, the production of an animated series based on the game “Ghost of Tsushima: Legends”, the launch of a new manga application “Crunchyroll Manga” and the release month for season 2 of “The Last of Us” series were announced.
Roger Goodell, commissioner of the National American Football League, was invited to speak at the press conference, and presented the latest developments in the evolution of sports entertainment.
Sony Honda Mobility also unveiled its “AFEELA 1” electric vehicle, which will be available to order from 2025 and will illustrate innovation in mobility.
Hiroki Totoki concluded the press conference by emphasizing that Sony’s “Vision of Creative Entertainment” involves the collaborative work of creators, partners and Sony employees, to create infinite realities for every person that spark the imagination and generate an unlimited sensation of Kando.
