Gathered in Ravenswatch, fallen heroes from ancient tales and legends unite to face the hordes of Nightmares that are invading, destroying and corrupting the world of Reverie.
Scarlet is a character inspired by the French tale of Little Red Riding Hood. In Ravenswatch, she made short work of the Big Bad Wolf. Like any self-respecting lycanthrope, she transforms according to the day/night cycle and her skill set changes according to her form. By day, she wields two daggers with agility, while by night, she is overwhelmed by brutality and bloodlust.
Franz is the Pied Piper of Hamelin. He uses his instrument, corrupted by the Nightmares, to control a horde of rats. Armed with his devastating melodies, he is able to weaken his enemies, while staying well away from danger.
Famous goth king, Beowulf bonded with a dragonet while trying to save his people from the Nightmares. Armed with a heavy two-handed sword, he summons his flying companion to enhance his attacks and block the hordes of enemies.
Based on the famous Snow Queen tale, Nyss loses her healing skills to the Nightmares. She uses her newfound lethal powers to glide freely across the battlefield, slowing enemies and riddling them with ice spikes.
Aladdin is the famous hero of the Arabian Nights. As his wife gets trapped in the corrupted lamp, Aladdin takes up arms and battles the Nightmares to defeat the curse. Aladdin is an agile hand-to-hand combatant who can grant a wish for wealth, life or death to reverse the outcome of a fight.
Inspired by mermaid legends, Melusine is known for drowning many humans. While she eventually falls in love with one of them, the Nightmares come knocking at her door. As she flees, she realizes that she is carrying her lover’s child and decides to do anything to save her baby. Armed with a devastating magical orb that she can guide wherever she wishes, Melusine is a ranged fighter, able to dive into the ground to escape her enemies.
