On the sixth anniversary of the Little Nightmares franchise, Bandai Namco Europe announces that it has exceeded 12 million units sold.
Several titles have been released since the 2017 release of Little Nightmares, the first game in the series produced by Bandai Namco Europe and developed by Tarsier Studios. In that first installment, players are introduced to young Six and must help her escape from the Den, a mysterious underwater ship populated by grotesque creatures. Little Nightmares II, the sequel published in 2021, tells the story of Mono, a young boy with a paper bag on his head. Accompanied by the little girl in the yellow raincoat, he goes to explore the Pale City, a strange place disturbed by the waves of the transmitting tower.
In addition to these two titles, the mobile game Very Little Nightmares developed by Alike Studio in 2019 invites players to escape the Nest and uncover Six’s past.
« The Little Nightmares franchise has been successful since the release of the very first episode, six years ago to the day, » says Arnaud Muller, CEO of Bandai Namco Europe. « We are proud of the work of Bandai Namco Europe, Tarsier Studios, Engine Software and Supermassive Games in creating great games while expanding the franchise to new media
