| SHADOW LABYRINTH is a big departure from previous PAC-MAN games. Players take on the role of another character, Swordsman No. 8. In the game, and following the events featured in the animated short Secret Level, players awaken on an alien planet ravaged by war and monsters. They soon meet PUCK, a mysterious character who reveals that their goal is to escape this treacherous world. To achieve this, and to survive, they must devour everything that lies in the darkness – and ultimately become the planet’s apex predator. Drawing inspiration from the original work of this unique game, players traverse a world filled with labyrinths, where enemies and puzzles will challenge them at every step of their journey. To succeed, players must master combat and exploration to improve their abilities and skills, fight difficult bosses and understand their true objectives.
As players progress through SHADOW LABYRINTH and delve deeper into the labyrinth of this mysterious world, they discover its secrets and come to understand why PUCK has chosen them for this mission. The game’s story and setting draw further inspiration from Bandai Namco’s vast library of arcade games. While much remains to be revealed about this exciting new adventure, discerning fans will find the first hints of connections with other iconic games in the trailer.
