Antwerp, October 12, 2023 – The Predator Connect W6 wireless router launched by Acer has joined the NVIDIA GeForce NOW Recommended Program list. It lets you play cloud-hosted games in an ultra-fast and stable gaming environment, automatically optimized for high resolutions and frame rates, with graphics enhanced by ray-tracing. Today, GeForce NOW supports over 1,600 titles, with new games added every week. Gamers can enjoy AAA blockbusters such as Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur’s Gate III, A Plague Tale: Requiem, to name but a few. The new router also supports Wi-Fi 6E and is certified by TÜV Rheinland to give gamers the best possible experience when playing on the GeForce NOW cloud gaming service at up to 120 frames per second in 4K or 240 frames per second in 1080p. The router’s QoS (Quality of Service) software has been developed by Acer in collaboration with NVIDIA to deliver an optimal gaming experience with GeForce NOW. Six months of extremely rigorous network testing were carried out to ensure that it could consistently deliver the high performance required for uninterrupted gaming at 120 fps in 4K with ray tracing. The router is optimized for low latency and near-zero packet and frame loss, resulting in one of the most powerful online gaming experiences. The Acer Predator Connect Mobile app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple app store and used to manage the Acer Predator Connect W6 remotely via smartphone or tablet

Hybrid QoS software, compatible with the Intel® Killer™ control center, is designed to detect and accelerate network traffic to optimize speed. Gamers can stay in control with device and application prioritization, and give their signal a boost by directing Wi-Fi coverage to their PC using the six adjustable antennas. Corresponding LEDs on the router indicate signal strength through a series of colors

ACS (Auto Configuration Server) software installed on the router analyzes the Wi-Fi environment to determine if there is congestion, where the problem lies, and with a simple click, allows players to jump to the least congested channel of the connected Wi-Fi bands. Finally, the router’s Intelligent Device Recognition software enables it to operate on any device or application, and the Trend MicroTM Home Security Engine prevents potential malware attacks thanks to the protection functions built into the IoT
