Bohemia Interactive today announced that Arma Reforger, the most realistic and immersive of military simulations, is now available on PlayStation 5. Console gamers can finally discover the open-world game that has already captivated PC gamers.

For over twenty years, the Arma franchise has set the standard for realistic military simulations on the PC. Now, Arma Reforger arrives on PS5! Get ready for a whole new experience, thanks to Bohemia Interactive’s Enfusion engine. This unique engine promises enhanced performance and graphics, a host of new features and full console support.
Unlike other first-person shooters on the market, Arma titles stand out for their unique combination of open world, immersive gameplay and realistic military simulation. On consoles, there is no comparable experience. Arma Reforger brings this unrivalled experience to PS5 players, with crossplay support, enabling players from different platforms to join the same games and engage in combat true to the Cold War era.
Arma Reforger on PS5 features several exclusive additions, including the use of an adaptive trigger with variable resistance depending on the type of weapon, haptic feedback and motion controls for precise customization. Arma Reforger makes full use of the advanced capabilities of the DualSense controller to enhance immersion and transport players directly to the battlefields of the Cold War.
Set in 1989, Arma Reforger meticulously recreates the military specifics of the era, including weapons, equipment, ground vehicles and helicopters. In addition, the islands of Everon and Arland are huge fictional battlefields in the middle of the Atlantic, with breathtaking landscapes and realistic environments. The game features four main game modes: Conflict, Game Master, Combat Ops and Capture & Hold.
- Conflict is a strategic battle for two islands in which teams must capture specific points to gain the upper hand over the enemy. Teams must not only fight opposing factions, but also build structures and set up logistics to gain a foothold on the island.
- Game Master allows players to create customized scenarios using the game’s resources, either solo or with friends. These can be simple missions or elaborate scenarios, and Game Master can modify scenarios on the fly to provide players with a thrilling experience.
- Combat Ops can be played cooperatively or solo. Players must complete specific tasks and fight their way off the islands of Everon and Arland. This game mode features dynamic objectives and enemies that appear in various locations, creating a unique experience in every match.
- Capture & Hold is a fast-paced game mode that puts players under pressure while retaining Arma Reforger’s immersive, realistic gameplay in short, intense matches.
All Arma Reforger game modes recreate many details of the Cold War era, with three factions facing off in thrilling, unique battles.
Although modded content is not yet available in the PlayStation version of Arma Reforger, the developers at Bohemia Interactive are working hard to implement this feature in the future.
