Dead Island 2‘s second expansion , SoLA, is now available on Xbox, PlayStation and the Epic Game Store, as well as on Steam from April 22, 2024.

In the midst of a rave in Los Angeles, a frenzied beat unleashed total chaos, leaving behind only a bloody landscape and a menacing presence, haunting the premises. Something is out there, and its hunger hasn’t been quenched.
- A new story: a deadly virus rages, turning its inhabitants into bloodthirsty zombies, while a strange musical rhythm seems to echo from beyond. Drawn to the festival by an enigmatic warning message, players must explore the ruins of SoLA and put an end to this menace from another world.
- A new location: a macabre, gory music festival in the heart of Los Angeles (also known as HELL-A) with the sound of “The Beat” threatening to turn the living into zombies, and the potential to be heard around the world.
- New enemies: notably the “Whipper”, a new enemy, driven mad and disgusted with himself following his transformation into a zombie. His compulsive need to mutilate himself has turned him into a mass of intestines, enabling him to attack from a distance. The “Clotter” is also a disturbing new enemy, capable of decomposing into a puddle of blood: in this form, he is immune to all damage. It can fire a powerful jet of blood from its heart.
- New legendary weapons: the Ripper, the fusion of a baseball bat and a circular saw into the ultimate dismemberment machine. The Saw Thrower is also a heavy weapon firing rotating saws, perfect for decapitating and dismembering enemies from a distance.
