The latest model offers everything users love about Facecam, plus new features such as HDR, an integrated privacy shutter and pan, tilt and zoom effects. Thanks to its enhanced image quality, Facecam MK.2 enables streamers and professionals to enjoy lifelike rendering, even in low light. Facecam-MK2-1

“In 2021, we developed Facecam with a view to creating the best webcam for creatives,” said Rolf Bartz, Senior Vision Architect at Elgato. “The Facecam MK.2 builds on this heritage, with improvements in almost every aspect, while offering more software control and greater lighting versatility. I don’t know of any other webcam offering so much power and versatility at this price.”

Better image quality

Based on the latest technologies, Facecam MK.2 offers greater detail and color accuracy than its predecessor. Thanks to its optimized sensitivity, Facecam MK.2 also performs better in low light, for example in darkened game rooms or late evenings at the office. The result: a brilliant, professional image that pushes back the limits of Full HD video.

Ultra-fluid HDR

With Facecam MK.2, high-contrast lighting is no longer a problem. HDR technology delivers realistic color and detail, even against bright office windows or in a dark room lit by LED lights. What’s more, Facecam MK.2 captures HDR images in Full HD at a remarkable 60 frames per second – twice as fast as most other webcams – for smooth, crisp video.

Integrated privacy

Now users can protect their webcam lens and their privacy with a simple gesture. Facecam MK.2 features an integrated shutter that slides into place. So there’s no need to search for lost caps or hard-to-handle snap-on covers. With Facecam MK.2, peace of mind is always at hand.

Discreet appearance

With a reworked stand and a smaller format, the new Facecam integrates perfectly into any installation. Perched lower on the monitors, Facecam MK.2 offers ultra-secure support and better visual contact with the camera. Its sleek, compact profile not only brings a modern touch to workspaces, but also minimizes eye distractions, while leaving screens unobstructed. Like the original model, Facecam MK.2 attaches easily to poles and mounting brackets using a standard 1/4″ thread.

Zoom, tilt and pan

Now it’s easier than ever to frame the perfect photo. Facecam MK.2 gives users even more control over the lens, with the ability to tilt vertically and pan sideways. For the first time, creators can refine their field of view on demand, using Camera Hub or Stream Deck. Facecam MK.2 lets users set the scene, whether centering their face in the frame or masking a messy room.

High-definition slow motion

For video creators, the Facecam MK.2 records ultra-fluid slow-motion like a DSLR or mirrorless camera. It is capable of 120 frames per second in HD resolution (720p), capturing the fastest movements in the finest detail. When connected via USB 3.0 and set to slow-motion mode, Facecam MK.2 can turn any scene into a cinema, whether it’s a dance, a champagne explosion or a drum roll.

About Facecam

Since its debut in 2021, Facecam has become the camera of choice for designers and professionals worldwide. Capturing uncompressed 1080p60 video*, Facecam quickly won over critics with its unrivalled clarity and low-light performance. It also launched Camera Hub software, offering users in-depth DSLR-style control via their computer or Stream Deck. This success led to the Facecam Pro, the world’s first 4K60 webcam, a titan capable of rivaling many professional cameras. Today, Facecam MK.2 returns to its roots, reimagining the original Facecam for a modern audience.
