Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail official benchmark released, graphics updated

SQUARE ENIX® invites Warriors of Light to discover never-before-seen images from Dawntrail with the launch of the official benchmark software for FINAL FANTASY® XIV: Dawntrail, available as a download for Windows. Among other things, the benchmark software includes new zones and enemies, giving a glimpse of the expansion’s exciting new features. Players will be able to test their computer’s ability to run FINAL FANTASY XIV before the expansion’s release, scheduled for July 2, 2024.

The benchmark allows players to create or import a character to appear in the software’s real-time cinematics. In addition to the existing playable races, players will be able to create female hrothgars, the new playable race in Dawntrail. Character appearance data created in the benchmark can also be saved and reused in the Windows version of the game.

The crossover quest series with FINAL FANTASY XVI, entitled “Primordial Flames”, is available until Wednesday, May 8. Players who complete these quests will be eligible for numerous FINAL FANTASY XVI-inspired rewards. FINAL FANTASY XIV Online is now available on Xbox Series X|S, allowing even more players on Xbox consoles to join the Warriors of Light in Eorzea and beyond! Until April 19, players with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription can obtain the Starter Edition using Xbox Game Pass benefits. It includes A Realm Reborn™, Heavensward™and Stormblood™, the equivalent of three complete FINAL FANTASY games.
