Samsung announces the new Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy Tab Active5. This smartphone and tablet are suited to the most demanding challenges, such as working in the field or on the move requiring 5G connectivity, mobile processor performance and large memory capacity.
What’s more, the XCover7 features a powerful camera and a larger screen with higher resolution, while the Tab Active5 can be used with replaceable batteries and No Battery Mode. It’s the perfect mix for a wide variety of work situations, such as manufacturing, healthcare, retail and the public sector.

Ideal for field work
The Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy Tab Active5 allow employees to use their smartphones and tablets with complete peace of mind. Both devices are water and dust resistant, suitable for demanding work environments such as construction sites or retail warehouses. The Galaxy XCover7 is shock-resistant to drops of up to 1.5 meters, while the Galaxy Tab Active5 can withstand a drop of up to 1.8 meters with the use of the protective shell supplied.1
The Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy Tab Active5 are equipped with Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® and Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5 respectively, for enhanced robustness and scratch resistance. The touch sensitivity of the screens can be adjusted2, making the devices easy to use, even by employees wearing gloves. They have also been extensively tested for use with disinfectants3.
Enhanced functions
In an increasingly digital world, it’s essential that employees are always connected. The Galaxy XCover7 offers fast, reliable 5G and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity, while the Galaxy Tab Active5 is equipped with 5G and Wi-Fi64. This enables employees to collaborate more effectively. What’s more, both devices feature fast charging5 and replaceable batteries, minimizing downtime.6
The Galaxy Tab Active5 also operates without battery in No Battery mode7. This allows employees to use the device continuously, for example in a kiosk or vehicle, and preserves the battery in hot environments. The Galaxy XCover7 and Tab Active5 also feature POGO connections. Workstations with POGO8 charging stations can charge several devices simultaneously.
The XCover7’s 6.6-inch screen has a larger surface area and higher resolution than previous generations. The Tab Active5’s bright 8.0-inch screen offers improved visibility outdoors. Both devices have a slim design with a lightweight frame.
Maximum productivity and security
The higher speaker volume9 of the new devices ensures good audibility even in noisy environments. Programmable keys10 allow you to create shortcuts, and rapid barcode scanning via Knox Capture11 streamlines warehouse work or use at mobile points of sale (mPOS)12.
The Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy Tab Active5 come with support for Samsung Knox Vault13. Knox Vault protects critical data, including lock screen information such as PINs, passwords and login patterns. This hardware-based, fraud-resistant security solution protects user data against software hacking and hardware attacks.
Availability
Both products are available from January 10, 2024. The new Galaxy XCover7 is available at a recommended retail price of €359 and the Galaxy Tab Active5 at a recommended retail price of €57914.
