IO Interactive, the independent video game developer and publisher behind, among other things, the acclaimed HITMAN franchise, is delighted to announce the launch of the latest mission, Elusive Target. The Splitter, featuring Hollywood action legend Jean-Claude Van Damme. This mission is available in the free starter pack for new players and as a classic Elusive Target for HITMAN World of Assassination players. The Splitter is available worldwide, from December 12, 2024 to January 12, 2025, on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™ and PC.

The Splitter
In this new role, Jean-Claude Van Damme plays Max Valliant, a former CIA agent who was thought to have been eliminated years ago after his collaboration with other organizations was discovered. Having miraculously escaped execution, he now returns with a vengeance. Suddenly reappearing, Max Vaillant has taken control of an ICA data storage center in Chongqing and requested a meeting with the ICA board of directors. Agent 47’s mission will have three objectives : to escort an ICA board member into the facility, to uncover Max Valliant’s sinister intentions and, above all, to eliminate him.

The Splitter Pack, all-new DLC inspired by the latest Elusive Target, is available now on all platforms. This pack includes:
- Permanent access to “Replication“ – A two-level Arcade Contract featuring the Elusive Target The Splitter.
- The SMG Splitter

- A set of six cosmetic items for the Freelancer mode hideout, inspired by the Elusive Target.

Splitter Season – Free live updates for HITMAN WOA players
The Splitter won’t be the only new addition to HITMAN World of Assassination. Other activities include a new challenge, new contracts and the return of some Elusive Targets. A new Twitch Drop, the ICA19 Classic Baller Purple Streak, will also be available by watching one hour of HITMAN World of Assassination on Twitch between December 12, 2024 and January 8, 2025. In addition, players will be able to unlock the Purple Streak Boxer Suit by supporting Twitch streamers with a subscription; this campaign also runs from December 12, 2024 to January 8, 2025.
In addition, HITMAN World of Assassination now supports the new features of the PlayStation®5 Pro, enabling players to enjoy fluid gameplay at 60 frames per second, with a resolution of 3840 x 2160.
