Niantic, pioneer company in augmented reality experiences and developer of Pokémon GO today announces the second major update to its Monster Hunter Now game and the March schedule of events. Niantic would like to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the Monster Hunter license and the 6-month anniversary of Monster Hunter Now by adding The Vernal Devil as well as a Monster Hunter Now 2024 Celebration event. This spring will be all about the hunt!
Monster Hunter Now 2024 Celebration, Part 1
Players should get ready to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Monster Hunter license. Exclusive event quests will be set up, and it will be possible to face the Zinogre in Chassathons. In addition, during the event period, the Black Diablos, the Rathian sakura, the Azure Rathalos and the Barioth will appear more often.
Monster Hunter 20th anniversary quest
From Monday, March 4, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. until Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. local time, players will be able to complete Event Quests on the theme of the 20th anniversary of the Monster Hunter license. By completing these quests, they can earn zennys, materials and an exclusive medal!
Zinogre at Chassathon sites
From Monday, March 4 at 9:00 a.m. to Wednesday, March 13 at 11:59 p.m. local time, hunters will be able to enjoy the systematic appearance of Zinogre at Chassathon sites.
Peak appearance of subspecies and Barioth in the field
Players will see a peak in the appearance of Black Diablos, Rathian sakura, Azure Rathalos and Barioth in the habitats listed below. You’ll need to hurry to hunt Barioth, as they will no longer be huntable from 9:00 a.m. on March 14.
- Desert: Black Diablos
- Marsh: Rathian sakura
- Forest: Rathalos azur, Barioth
All monsters are also affected by this spike in appearance frequency.
The event will last from Monday, March 4, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. to Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 11:59 p.m
