Electronic Arts Inc (NASDAQ: EA) and Criterion Games™ today unveil Need for Speed™ Unbound Vol. 9: Prepare for Lockdown*, a new update that enriches the ultimate Need for Speed experience. Due November 26 on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, Vol. 9 adds a high-stakes mode with extraction-based PvPvE multiplayer gameplay inspired by Need for Speed: Most Wanted. For the first time in Need for Speed, players can pilot a motorcycle, the 2019 BMW S 1000 RR, in the new Lockdown experience.
Lockdown brings a new twist toUnbound‘s street racing, where teams of up to three players are formed to take on rival teams. Racers must complete contracts, break into containment zones, explore the treacherous containment area and secure the extraction truck. Successful players will be rewarded with some of the game’s hardest-to-acquire cars, including the custom BMW M3 GTR (2005) belonging to Razor, the famous Most Wanted character, and 14 other iconic cars inspired by the Most Wanted blacklist.

The playlists cover a wide variety of themes, including the first-ever motorcycle-exclusive Need for Speed events, special challenges to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary, Most Wanted-inspired races, new Drift Pro challenges, and much more.
