New playable content for the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo

SQUARE ENIX® today publishes an update entitled “The Beginning of a New Era in Junon” for the demo of FINAL FANTASY™ VII REBIRTH, the long-awaited RPG to be released on February 29 exclusively on PlayStation®5. This free demo enhances the “Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim” demo released in February, and offers a glimpse of the immense world that awaits players in the most eagerly awaited game of 2024*.

“The Beginning of a New Era in Junon” is a free update to the existing demo in which Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith and Red XIII arrive near Junon, a fortress housing an underwater reactor. In this preview created especially for the demo, players will explore a small part of the game’s huge world, namely the area around the port city of Junon, several hours after the start of the main quest. They’ll be able to unearth treasures with their trusty chocobo mount, craft precious items with synthesis, bravely accept hunting missions, and more.

Now is the perfect time to download the two-part demo and prepare for the worldwide release of FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH. Players who complete the first part, “A Hero’s Fall in Nibelheim”, will receive a bonus mogrigri and survival kit. They will also be able to skip the corresponding section in the full version of the game when it is released** to get a head start on their adventure. Of course, they can also decide to replay this section of the game.

Save data for the “Beginning of a New Era in Juno” section cannot be transferred to the full version of the game, as the content has been condensed for the occasion. However, fans and new players alike will have the opportunity to discover new forms of exploration, as well as new synchronized skills and the strong bonds between characters they reveal during breathless combat.
Bonus mogrigri and survival kit

A patch for the demo has also been released. It will be downloaded automatically. It brings some minor graphical corrections, as well as other modifications.
