Pokémon and a selection of content creators will attempt to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ world record for the longest live card unboxing, on the occasion of the release of the Scarlet & Purple Trading Card Game expansion – Unfurling Sparks.

November 8, 2024 – The Pokémon Company International is preparing to beat the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS ™ for longest live unboxing (video), offering 24 hours of back-to-back reveals with content creators from all over Europe.
This world record attempt celebrates the release of the new Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) expansion Scarlet & Purple – Unstoppable Sparks on sale today at participating retailers worldwide.
The all-day marathon, which kicks off on Thursday November 21 at 1pm and ends on Friday November 22 at 1pm, will see Pokémon fans and streamers in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain embark on the most epic Pokémon product opening of their entire careers, with surprises and special products along the way.
Viewers can cheer on their favorite Pokémon fans on the YouTube channel channel and Twitch channel channel of The Pokémon Company International. They’ll need to keep their eyes peeled for a chance to win some of the packs and products.
In the Pokémon CCG’s Scarlet and Violet – Unstoppable Sparks expansion, players can continue to discover beautiful Star Teracrystal Pokémon-ex, including Pikachu-ex with its powerful Topaz Lightning attack. Fans of the Zero Zone Buried Treasure DLC, Volume 2: The Indigo Disc, will be able to collect and battle with cards from this expansion on the theme of Terra-Dome (an artificial paradise first introduced in the DLC for the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games), and will be able to discover the gigantic Noadkoko of Alola as a Pokémon-ex Stellar Teracrystal, as well as other powerful Dragon-type Pokémon.
The Scarlet and Violet – Shattering Sparks expansion is now available in boosters, Elite Dresser Boxes and special collections from participating stores worldwide.
In addition, Scarlet and Violet – Shattering Sparks is now available digitally via the Pokemon.co.uk/JCCL app on iOS, Android, macOS and Windows. Trainers will be able to collect new Pokémon-ex Stellar Teracrystal, battle alongside them and receive in-game bonuses by logging on to the app.
What’s more, starting this month, fans of the Pokémon CCD will have the chance to obtain special promo cards created in collaboration with“The Series: Pokémon, Horizons“, featuring the series’ two protagonists, Liko and Rhod, and their Pokémon partners. The special Poussacha promo card will be available from November 15, 2024 to December 15, 2024, followed by the special Chochodile promo card available from December 15, 2024 to January 15, 2025, and a large-format Terapagos and Friends promo card will be available from January 15, 2025 to February 15, 2025 in participating stores. Each card will feature the“Pokémon Horizons” logo.
