Today, The Pokémon Company Group announced that the Pokémon Pocket Trading Card Game has surpassed 60 million downloads on iOS and Android devices since its worldwide release on October 30, 2024. This announcement follows the selection of the Pokémon Pocket Trading Card Game in the “Best Mobile Game” category at The Game Awards, a ceremony that recognizes creative and technical excellence in the global video game industry.
In addition, The Pokémon Company will soon be releasing a new expansion to the Pokémon Pocket Trading Card Game, entitled L’Île Fabuleuse. In this new expansion, players will discover new cards with unique illustrations featuring new Pokémon, including the fabulous Pokémon Mew, and new Portfolio Covers and Frame Backgrounds depicting the landscapes of Île Fabuleuse. With all these new cards ready to collect, players will be able to explore new deck-building strategies and vary their battles in both solo and versus modes.
Île Fabuleuse will be available in the Pokémon Pocket Trading Card Game app on iOS and Android from December 17, 2024. Players around the world will be able to collect new cards from the L’Île Fabuleuse expansion by opening Boosters and using the Miracle Deck. Developed in collaboration with Creatures Inc. creators of the successful Pokémon CCG, and DeNA Co. Ltd. partners in the development of Pokémon Masters EX, the Pokémon Pocket Trading Card Game is a free downloadable app for iOS and Android that reinvents the Pokémon CCG card collection in an innovative digital format.
The Pokémon Pocket Trading Card Game will continue to surprise its audience with future updates, including a holiday countdown campaign starting December 24, 2024, allowing Trainers to receive in-game gifts at no cost. More information to follow.
