One bike can hide another. Now that we’ve brought you the Tour de France 2024 test, it’s time to tackle the other big cycling release of the year: Pro Cycling Manager 2024. Here, it’s not a question of pedaling, but of being the sporting director and taking our team to the top!

On our way to the top.

Pro Cycling Manager 2024 is a game not about direct action, but about management. You’ll have to take control of an entire team and manage every aspect from A to Z.

In terms of gameplay, the career mode is central to the title, with you leading your team from start to finish. It’s up to you to choose the team that the game will offer you, with a fairly limited choice of teams, each with a different level of difficulty. Cya World Tour, for example, is a team that’s ready to go out and compete, making it easier for you to learn the title.

You’ll find a number of mechanics, such as the Manager tab, which gives you all the information you need to set off on a race. Sponsors and the possibility of changing financing and other equipment. Infrastructure, finance, etc. Basically, yes, you’re going to spend a lot of time here. Especially in the financial management of your team, so you don’t run out of money in the middle of the season and can’t equip your racers as well as possible.

The team tab is also very important, as this is where you’ll find the calendar. A tool that lets you see everything you can do between two stages. As you can see, with all this, you’ll have to juggle to find the best training and equipment for each rider.

When a race is launched, you can choose to simulate it in 2D or 3D. So you can see every moment of the race in detail, and what worked and what didn’t. It’s easy enough to learn, and you’ll evolve naturally.

The big addition to this version is that you’ll finally be able to race the Tour de France! Yes, it’s finally available in the game and is perhaps the biggest addition to this version. On the other hand, some of the graphics have been reworked, which is a good thing, as it makes the whole thing more readable.

I can handle it!

You’ll also find other game modes, such as Pro Cyclist mode, which lets you create a rider with everything that goes with it, such as axes, potential, etc. This mode doesn’t give you access to a whole team, but to a single rider, so it focuses on your own evolution.

Finally, there’s the Simple Race mode, which lets you compete with a team and a few stages. Basically, you don’t manage an entire season, but a few stages, just like in Track mode. It’s a far cry from hardcore management, and will allow you to play faster and more relaxed games.

In conclusion, Pro Cycling Manager 2024 doesn’t reinvent the wheel. Admittedly, there are some additions, but few notable changes. It’s a big update that won’t leave you indifferent if you like games of this kind, as it will take up many hours of your time.
