players will be able to press the “start” button and race into Rocket League Season 17! This new season, inspired by neo-arcades, includes a new Rocket Pass featuring the Shokunin Chassis – automatically unlocked with Rocket Pass Premium – and introduces the redesigned Neo Tokyo (Arcade) arena.
Season 17 also includes:
- Free online play – Players can now hone their skills or simply spend some quality time with friends between matches! Create a Session directly from the main menu, the post-game screen or by searching for a game.
- Players can customize their sessions with Soccar, Hoops, Snow Day and Dropshot modes, as well as all the arenas already available in the free offline game. There are also turbo options and goal reset settings.
- To celebrate the arrival of free online play, the EDL Free Play Party will be available with the new season, and will include two challenges and rewards.
- Split Shot and Split Shot Heatseeker – These temporary modes bring a breath of fresh air to Rocket League’s 3v3 formula by splitting teams on each half of the pitch, forcing players to score goals from a distance.
Later in December, the official music of Season 17 – Tokyo Machine’s brand new track, PLAY (VIP), released by Monstercat – will be available for free in the store as a player anthem!
