Main exhibitions

Based on the “Creative Entertainment Vision”, the long-term vision of where Sony wants to be in 10 years’ time, the exhibition will focus on the latest technologies and initiatives designed to unleash the creativity of creators and maximize the value of franchises. The stand is organized around the three phases of Sony’s Creative Entertainment Vision: “Unbridled Creativity”, “Breaking Boundaries” and “Storytelling Everywhere”. It also presents an artistic expression of Sony’s imagined creative future, in which content is born and expanded through cooperation between creators.

New vehicle management system using virtual production: “PXO AKIRA

This exhibition presents for the first time “PXO AKIRA”, a new state-of-the-art system that transforms the classic method of creating automotive imagery by improving safety, reducing costs and maximizing creative freedom. “PXO AKIRA” combines an advanced robotic camera crane with a purpose-built mobile platform, LED volume management technology and integrated digital dubbing to provide a complete solution for filming vehicles using Virtual Production, whatever the chosen environment. The exhibition will also feature a 3D reconstruction tool that perfectly complements “PXO AKIRA”, offering the possibility of capturing environments in real time and transforming them into immersive 3D digital backgrounds.

Integrated hardware and software solution “XYN™” designed to facilitate the creation of spatialized content

Sony Corporation has announced the launch of “XYN™”, an integrated hardware and software solution designed to facilitate the creation of spatialized content. Taking advantage of unique imaging, sensing and display technologies, “XYN” uses proprietary algorithms to accurately capture and reproduce objects, backgrounds and human movements in real-world spaces. It enables them to be efficiently reproduced in a 3D CGI production environment, and facilitates the construction of flexible workflows. Visitors to the stand can test products and solutions currently under development.

LEGO® Horizon Adventures™ brings mxmtoon’s music to life

LEGO® Horizon Adventures™ is a fun and captivating story inspired by the Horizon universe and made entirely of LEGO elements. The mxmtoon music used in the game extends the Horizon franchise into the musical realm in an original way, and a new music video is also released. Produced using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, the music video has been animated using in-game resources.

This project, which extends the game’s franchise to create content, is a stunning collaboration with mxmtoon music, bringing together the creativity of several teams including Guerrilla Games, the LEGO Group and Pixomondo. At the booth, visitors will be able to play the game and preview the music video, or watch the making-of which highlights the creative and production process.

Experience based on the theme “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle”

Aniplex Inc. is a comprehensive entertainment company with a wide range of activities worldwide. These include the planning and production of Japanese video and music works, mainly in the field of animation; the planning and production of games; film production and distribution; and the planning, production and sale of merchandise.

At the stand, visitors can enjoy themed experiences based on the animated series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotoge published in SHUEISHA’s JUMP COMICS and sold over 150 million copies. The animated production comes from ufotable. The exhibition will feature a photo booth reproducing the poster for the film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, the first part of a trilogy to be released in cinemas worldwide in 2025.

Location-based entertainment experience immersing you in the world of “The Last of Us

To maximize the value of franchises, Sony is exploring ways to develop location-based entertainment that combines different technologies (video, audio and haptic feedback) to open up new avenues of expression for creators. Visitors to the stand will be able to experience immersive entertainment in the survivalist action game “The Last of Us”, as if they were actually in the game’s universe, with high-definition video, 3D sound and novel olfactory technologies.
