The Exmor T for mobile sensor developed by Sony and integrated into the 24 mm lens of the Xperia 1 VI, combined with AI processing, ensures image quality comparable to that of full-frame cameras. This technology guarantees noise reduction and an extended dynamic range, even in low-light conditions, as well as the capture of cinematically colorful videos.
The optical zoom telephoto lens, now with a 7.1x zoom, offers a focal length range from 85 mm to 170 mm, with a maximum magnification of around 2x and a minimum focusing distance of 4 cm: the perfect opportunity to indulge in macro photography without a dedicated macro lens.

A new, smarter, brighter screen
Optimized by BRAVIA, the Xperia 1 VI ‘s screen uses AI re-mastering technology to improve contrast, color and image clarity. This technology is just as effective for your own content as for streaming services.

The product box and main tray of the Xperia 1 VI are made from Sony’s original material mix of bamboo, sugarcane fiber and recycled paper, resulting in plastic-free individual packaging. In addition to Sony’s ongoing efforts to reduce plastic, the tape used to close shipping cartons has been replaced by paper to make packaging more environmentally friendly.
Around 85% of the raw materials used for some of the parts inside and outside the chassis are environmentally-friendly resins (recycled resins, plant-based resins, etc.), such as SORPLAS, a recycled fire-retardant plastic developed by Sony.

The case specially designed for the Xperia 1 VI features a grip on the underside for easy handling and stable shooting. What’s more, a newly supplied retaining ring can be attached to the shell to enhance stability, while the support for landscape and portrait orientations proves a practical asset. The back of the shell faithfully reproduces the tactile and functional design of the 245’s rear panel, preserving the integrity of the device’s design once the shell is installed.
