Find the blog post detailing the update here, as well as a summary of all the latest additions to the Galactic Framework update.
- New story missions : Galactic Framework begins immediately after the events of the Desperate Challenge scenario. Players and their Alliance set out to find Darth Malgus and thwart his plans. At the same time, players will also be seeking answers about the Dark Nol holocron and the ambitions of the Hidden Chain. Story missions will take players to Hoth, Tatooine and the excavation site of Nol’s temple on Elom.
- Dynamic confrontations: Dynamic confrontations are a new addition that allows players to bring life to the worlds in which they evolve. As they explore planets, players will naturally come across Dynamic Clashes, or can actively search for them on their map. Dynamic confrontations can range from eliminating the forces of the Hidden Chain to capturing escaped Banthas in a spaceport. These confrontations will appear on Hoth and Tatooine with version 7.6, and will offer numerous rewards to players.
- XR-53 Propagator Core lair boss: The XR-53 Propagator Core is the latest lair boss to appear in the game, and will appear in both the Story and Veteran difficulties. The XR-53 Propagator Core comes from one of the many pieces shattered during the crash of the Emperor’s Fortress on Ilum. The XR-53 is a Rakatan replicator droid that tries to repair itself by harvesting resources, but its main functions have been somewhat disrupted…
- Modernized character and planet design: The modernization of the Star Wars: The Old Republic experience continues with artistic updates on Tython, Korriban, Hoth and Ilum (particularly on the starting planets). Character design, especially faces, will also benefit from improved fidelity throughout the game. Player characters will benefit from updated textures, eye specularity and lighting, as well as improved shading. Texture changes will be introduced in this update with human, chiss, cyborg, miralukan, mirialan, togruta, rattataki and zabrak models. Watch the video here.
