As the power of the prodigious flower spreads throughout the kingdom, all sorts of strange and wondrous events begin to take place… Fort Bowser is now on the loose, and players must team up with Mario and friends to save the Flower Kingdom in a 2D, side-scrolling adventure

Here are just some of the features players will discover during this prodigious adventure

  • A kingdom brimming with diversity: the Kingdom of Flowers is made up of six distinct worlds surrounding the Floral Islands, offering players a total of seven zones to explore, including open areas they can explore freely.
  • A world of a thousand prodigies : each stage contains its own prodigious flower, which is often hidden. When a player touches a prodigy flower, a prodigy is triggered, completely modifying the stage and the gameplay: pipes can come to life, the ground can tilt, perspective can change or characters can float in the air. Certain prodigies can even transform your character.

What’s more, it’s possible to choose Yoshis of different colors, as well as Carottin, who take no damage, a good choice if players are looking for an easier experience.
  • A wealth of items: in addition to the classic items, Super Mario Bros. Wonder offers three new transformations. The elephant shape lets you smash blocks, send enemies tumbling, and even suck up and spit out water. The bubble flower lets you shoot bubbles at enemies from a distance. The drill shape effortlessly eliminates armored or spike-protected enemies. It also allows players to dive into the floor (or ceiling) to move around.
  • A plethora of badges : as the adventure progresses, players can obtain various badges, each with a special ability. Some, for example, allow you to glide through the air, accelerate underwater or make gigantic leaps. Other badges give players handy bonuses, such as an extra super field, bonus coins for eliminating enemies, or the ability to detect objects hidden in stages.
  • A pleasure to share : gather up to three friends in multiplayer mode It’s possible to revive the ghosts of other characters, or even be transported by the Yoshis. In online play*, players can see which stages their friends are playing and join them. Together, they can then play the stages as normal, or turn them into speed races. Even when playing alone online, it’s possible to encounter shadows of real players and special panels placed by online players. Touch these panels to return to the game if you’re a ghost yourself, or place your own panel to help others.
