Hey team! We’ve spent hours shooting noob on Black Ops 6, the new opus in the Call of Duty series. So, are we dealing with a simple recycling or a real revolution? Hang on, we’ll tell you all about it!
Story: déjà-vu, but effective
Let’s face it, Black Ops 6 ‘s story doesn’t revolutionize the genre. We’re still plunged into a futuristic war with plots, betrayals and plot twists galore. But it’s still effective and well-paced, with explosive cinematics and charismatic characters (even if it’s still hard to get attached to the guys who change face with each episode).
Gameplay: Nervous, fluid and highly customizable
In terms of gameplay, Black Ops 6 packs a punch! Gunfights are fast-paced and fluid, maps are well designed and weapon feel is excellent. The classic mechanics of the series have been retained, but with a few welcome additions, such as the “enhanced specialist” system, which allows you to customize your skills even further. And a big plus: the game is ultra-optimized, even on modest configurations.
Lifespan: Content in spades!
Between the single-player campaign, the multiplayer mode, the Zombies mode and the new game modes (we won’t spoil everything!), Black Ops 6 offers a substantial lifespan. And with the system of seasons and battle passes, there are always new challenges to take on and rewards to unlock. In short, enough to keep you busy for months!
Music and graphics: a great show!
Visually, Black Ops 6 is a slap in the face. The graphics are detailed, the visual effects are impressive and the art direction is meticulous. You’ll feel right at the heart of the action! The soundtrack is also top-notch, with epic music that perfectly matches the game’s atmosphere.
Verdict: An excellent Call of Duty that’s a pleasure to play!
Black Ops 6 is an excellent vintage, proving that Treyarch is capable of renewing itself while retaining the essence of the series. The gameplay is edgy and addictive, the content is generous and the technical execution is impeccable. A must-have for FPS fans!
