Since its launch in 2008, OPPO’s A series has gained the loyalty of 700 million users worldwide over a 16-year period. Today, the brand officially announces its ultimate champion of durability, the A80 5G, equipped with OPPO’s own generative AI technology and raising the durability quality of the A series to new heights.

Extreme reliability and durability
In addition to its damage-resistant 360° armored body, the OPPO A80 5G boasts a new reinforced internal structure and a suite of drop-resistant materials such as Panda Glass (double-reinforced) for the screen cover, ensuring that the phone can withstand most drops and everyday impacts. Key internal components are fitted with cushioning materials, leaving enough space to absorb shocks like a sponge. Thanks to these protections, the phone can withstand being crushed by the passage of a 48-seater bus weighing 11 tons, without any damage. 1] In recognition of its extreme robustness, the A80 5G has been awarded SGS drop resistance certification (standard) and SGS Military Standard certification.
What’s more, OPPO’s Splash Touch function allows the phone to be used in a completely normal way, even with wet hands. Based on an advanced touch-sensing algorithm built into the touch chip, Splash Touch improves touch accuracy and responsiveness when the screen is wet, enabling users to continue using the phone while cooking, immediately after getting out of the shower or in virtually any other situation where hands may get wet. Rated IP54 for water and dust resistance, the phone can also withstand the daily dose of splashes and dust, and has been tested to work perfectly after being exposed to rain for 10 minutes.
Beyond its durability, the OPPO A80 5G also retains a sleek, luxurious design, measuring just 7.68mm thick and weighing around 186g.[2] Featuring a high-quality glossy central bezel and an angular rectangular decorative area for the camera module at the rear, the phone exudes a sophisticated look and feel from top to bottom. Two refreshing colors – Moonlight Purple and Starry Black – add further seductive ambience to the design. Created using a unique magnetic particle design, the Moonlight Purple version features dynamic, flowing textures on its dark purple rear panel. For a more classic look, the Starry Black version features an ever-changing matte texture that comes to life thanks to the iconic OPPO Glow process.
