Soccer is a magnificent sport, a precise choreography of bodies in motion. The heart of the discipline lies in the ability of its players to be in the right place, at the right time, in the right dynamic. Of course, the execution has to be perfect.
With Rematch, we’re trying to capture this essence of soccer and condense it into short, dynamic 5 vs 5 matches. It’s time to offer a new perspective to this magnificent game, closer to the pitch and closer to its protagonists. The third-person camera offers unparalleled immersion on the pitch and a new perspective on the rhythm of the match: the ball approaching and then receding, waves of attack and defense… this is what playing soccer is really like.
Like real soccer, we want Rematch to be a highly cooperative game. Fundamentally, Rematch is about the joy of playing soccer with friends, of being together, as a team. It puts the collective dimension ahead of individual performance, when you’re more satisfied with delivering a decisive pass than scoring the goal yourself. We can’t wait to see the players on the pitch again. It’s going to happen very soon.
The first trailer for Rematch, released today, illustrates the arcade gameplay of this off-the-beaten-track proposition:

Rematch is scheduled for release next year on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. No fouls, no offsides: the twirling gameplay lights up virtual arenas with a permanent sequence of spectacular actions, with no downtime. You control just one player, in an immersive third-person view, and change roles as the situation evolves: from striker to defender to goalkeeper, whose unique abilities have been specially designed to meet his or her particular requirements. Each match is an intense spectacle, where victory is won on the wire, with a decision taken on the spur of the moment or a providential collective move. Remember: team spirit prevails.
Completely focused on online multiplayer, Rematch puts the emphasis on precise, responsive gameplay, balanced to deliver a fair competitive experience. Skill remains a fundamental element of the experience: mastery of the aiming mechanics, the timing of a powerful volley or even game-reading and perfect passes must be perfectly mastered to gain a decisive advantage over the opposing team.
In addition to the 5 vs. 5 competitive mode, the game will offer fast-paced game modes and seasonal content after launch, including new game modes and unique cosmetic possibilities that will allow everyone to personalize their avatar.
Rematch is expected to be PEGI 7 rated, and intends to offer new features following its release. More details to come in 2025.
