The game features an intense mecha simulation in which players control fearsome mechanized heroes – the Hunters – and take part in action-packed battles, pursuing various objectives to level up and acquire equipment. Each Hunter has his or her own play style, unique skills and progression systems that allow for a variety of strategies and tactics to outmaneuver opponents in the final showdown at the extraction point.

Players engage in battles with a unique Hunter in a PvPvE arena, pursuing various objectives to level up and acquire equipment, culminating in a final showdown at the extraction point.
- Mastering the different mechanical giants: The fun of Steel Hunters lies in learning and mastering the different Hunters, and making the most effective use of their skill sets and progression systems.
