Private Division, one of the publishing houses of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), and Wētā Workshop, world-renowned for its work on the world of Middle-earth in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy, today present Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game, a relaxing Hobbit lifestyle simulation set in the world of J.R.R. Tolkien. Developed by Wētā Workshop Game Studio, the video game arm of Wētā Workshop, Tales of the Shire will be released in the second half of fiscal 2024 on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC on the Steam platform.

In Tales of the Shire, return to the most welcoming region of Middle-earth and lead your Hobbit life in the adorable village of Lèzeau. Relax in beautiful meadows, store in local boutiques and even indulge in a second breakfast. Work to unite the community and earn official village status by hosting the most fabulous Lèzeau Festival the county has ever seen!

Create your own Hobbit with a wide range of customization elements to make your experience in Middle-earth as faithful as possible to the image you have of it. Settle into your humble Hobbit hole and use the many furnishings and interior decorations to embellish it and make it unique. Then set off to explore Lèzeau and indulge in cooking, fishing, gathering, gardening and many other relaxing activities in the Shire. Cast your hook into the shimmering waters of the Lèzeau pond to catch trout, pick wild mushrooms and use them as ingredients to concoct a delicious pie to serve for lunch. Once your belly is full, return to explore the Shire and bond with the people of Lèzeau by helping them cultivate their garden, sharing one of the many daily Hobbit meals, and much more.

Middle-earth Enterprises has assigned the literary rights to The Lord of the Rings saga to Wētā Workshop, giving it immense creative license to interpret and reinterpret the content of the books.

Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game will be released later this year on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC on the Steam platform.
