Alienware unveils its new optimized desktop PC: the Aurora R16

Alienware presents a new version of its flagship model with a compact design, incorporating acoustic and thermal optimizations. The new Aurora R16 retains all the components that have made this range so successful, while meeting gamers’ expectations for top-level gaming performance

Alienware has achieved several goals thanks to the Legend 3 design language, available for the first time on the market with the new Aurora R16^[i ]

• Optimized airflow: a system that’s on average 20% quieter, a temperature reduction of up to 10% for the CPU and up to 6% for the GPU.
• Space-saving: a 40% reduction in total volume compared to the previous version, with an unchanged internal volume of 25.2 liters.
• Aesthetics: a design that adapts to the most varied environments.

Aurora R16: a PC that combines minimalism and efficiency

The two main objectives of the Alienware design team were

• Optimize airflow efficiency to make the system quieter and improve cooling while meeting performance targets
• Continue to explore Legend’s « Future Minimal » philosophy with a streamlined, optimized and gamer-centric design.

The oval lighting loop, also known as the Stadium loop, visible on the left side of the chassis is the visual center, the PC’s main attraction that captures the user’s attention. The Stadium loop traces the perimeter of the main ventilation. This offers a larger air intake than the previous generation and optimizes air flow, while the Stadium lighting loop pays homage to the Alienware Legend heritage

The new Aurora R16 designed with the Stadium loop and transparent side panel option has been imagined to be viewed from the side. What’s more, large fans on the sides and top, together with optimized internal cable management, ensure efficient airflow and better PC cooling

Optimized performance

The Aurora R16 outperforms its predecessor with equivalent configurations, while boasting a significantly more compact design, all thanks to efficient airflow. The R16 is not only a convincing upgrade, but also an introduction to the Aurora experience for new gamers who will be seduced by the multiple configuration options

A new Alienware Command Center 6.0

The Aurora R16 is the first desktop PC to feature the new Alienware Command Center.
