ASUS and Republic of Gamers Unveil Innovative Monitors at CES 2023

ASUS and Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced an exciting line of monitors for gaming, professional content creation, hybrid work and entertainment. ROG continues to innovate in displays with the introduction of the :

1/ Swift OLED PG27AQDM, the first ROG OLED 1440p gaming monitor

2/ Swift Pro PG248QP, the world’s fastest esports gaming monitor, delivering ultra-smooth visuals at an amazing 540Hz

3/ Strix XG49WCR 49-inch ultra-wide and curved

4/ Swift PG32UQXR with DisplayPort 2.1

TUF Gaming monitors were also presented to satisfy the needs of all gamers.

Content creators will appreciate the latest ProArt OLED PA32DCM and PA279CRV displays.

1/ The former is an advanced 4K UHD DCI-P3 professional monitor that features an RGB-banded OLED panel with a maximum brightness of 700 nits, targeting VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 500 certification.

2/ The second is a 4K IPS monitor that covers 99% of the DCI-P3/Adobe RGB color space, and includes a USB-C® plug with 96W of power, so it’s perfect for MacBook and Windows laptop users. Plus, it meets global environmental standards of EPEAT Gold, ENERGY STAR® and TCO.

ASUS also unveiled several CES Innovation Award-winning portable monitors. The 16-inch 120Hz ZenScreen MB16QHG and 17-inch 144Hz MB17AHD are designed for comfortable viewing on the go, while the 24-inch ZenScreen MB249C enables both work and play anywhere.

The ASUS BE24ECSBT is a 23.8-inch FHD IPS display with a 10-point multitouch panel, extended USB-C (with DP Alt mode), DisplayPort™ connectivity with daisy-chain support, HDMI®, and a USB hub, making it the perfect companion for remote work or learning.

Finally, the CES Innovation Award-winning ASUS ZenBeam L2 projector features the new ASUS Light Wall feature that allows users to cast 26 different cinemagraphs to provide mood lighting to change the atmosphere of any room.

ROG GAMING MONITORS

ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM-Theultimate 1440p OLED gaming monitor

The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM is the first ROG 1440p OLED gaming monitor with an ultra-fast 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time. It features a micro-textured coating that reduces glare for a better viewing experience in all lighting conditions and offers a peak brightness of 1,000 nits.

The thermal design of its cooling system has been greatly improved to help reduce burn-in. It features a custom heat sink and a new internal layout to improve cooling. The internal airflow has been optimized and the top vents are larger for better heat dissipation. Heat is dissipated more evenly across the back of the monitor. This results in an average temperature that is 5% lower than other 27-inch OLED gaming monitors. Intelligent power optimization ensures consistent luminance for each pixel by controlling the voltage applied to it. ROG worked closely with the panel manufacturer to determine the correlation between pixel brightness, voltage level and operating temperature. As a result, an intelligent algorithm coded specifically for the display optimizes the voltage in real time, based on temperature changes, to ensure consistent brightness across the panel.

The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM also features Uniform Brightness, which maintains the same level of brightness even when white windows change dramatically in size. In addition, the new DisplayWidget Center software allows users to customize OLED-related functions and system settings directly with the mouse via an intuitive interface, without having to manipulate the OSD. The Swift OLED PG27AQDM will be available in the first quarter of 2023.

ROG Swift Pro PG248QP – The world’s first 540Hz gaming monitor

The ROG Swift Pro PG248QP is the world’s first 540 Hz gaming monitor. We achieved this level of performance by leveraging new esports TN (E-TN) display technology, which offers 60% faster response times than traditional TN panels, with ultra-fast refresh rates and amazing clarity. It features a new base design with retractable and locking hooks to provide a much smaller base to free up more desktop space for pro gamers.

This 24.1-inch FHD monitor with an ultra-fast 540Hz refresh rate (OC) is designed for professional gamers and immersive gaming. The G-SYNC processor incorporates NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer technology that captures end-to-end system latency to deliver the best gaming experience. In addition, the integrated ESS digital-to-analog converter (DAC) delivers surround sound with near-zero latency, as well as sound enhancements for more immersive gunfire and footsteps in-game.

ROG Strix XG49WCR

The ROG Strix XG49WCR is a 49-inch, 32:9 aspect ratio (5120 x 1440) super ultra-wide, 1800R curved gaming monitor with a 165Hz refresh rate for incredibly immersive and ultra-smooth gaming visuals. It features a smart KVM switch that allows for easy switching of keyboard and mouse control between two devices connected to the monitor. The Strix XG49WCR targets DisplayHDR 400 compliance, with 125% sRGB color space coverage and very good color accuracy with Delta E < 2, for amazing HDR performance. Built-in FreeSync Premium technology provides a natural, jerk-free gaming experience with the variable refresh rate. ROG Swift PG32UQXR – The first ROG gaming monitor with DisplayPort 2.1

Designed for professional gamers, the Swift PG32UQXR is a 32-inch 4K Mini LED gaming monitor with a 160 Hz refresh rate. Its DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity allows it to display 4K content at 160 Hz without any compression. Its Full Array Local Dimming (FALD) backlighting offers 576 independent LED zones and enables a peak brightness of 1000 nits while aiming for DisplayHDR™ 1000 compliance. Its Quantum dot panel offers over 95% DCI-P3 coverage, resulting in realistic colors and smooth gradations. In addition, each monitor is factory pre-calibrated for Delta E < 2. TUF Gaming VG32UQA1A

Designed for professional gamers, the TUF Gaming VG32UQA1A is a 31.5-inch 4K gaming monitor with an ultra-fast 160Hz refresh rate (OC). It boasts a moving picture response time (MPRT) of 1ms for crisp gaming visuals at high frame rates, while built-in FreeSync Premium technology delivers an optimal and smooth gaming experience. In addition, ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB Sync) technology eliminates ghosting and tearing. The monitor is DisplayHDR 400 compliant, with 99% sRGB coverage for excellent contrast and color management. The TUF Gaming VG32UQA1A offers rich connectivity options, with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and a USB hub.

TUF Gaming VG27AQML1A

The TUF Gaming VG27AQML1A is a 27-inch 1440p Fast IPS gaming monitor with an ultra-fast 240Hz refresh rate. It uses ASUS Fast IPS technology to deliver a 1ms response time (GTG) for crisp gaming visuals, even at the highest frame rates. Like the VG32UQA1A, the integration of FreeSync Premium, ASUS ELMB Sync, 99% sRGB coverage and DisplayHDR 400 compliance ensure a flawless gaming experience. Additionally, a ¼-inch tripod socket on top of the monitor stand allows users to mount an additional camera or display for a unique gaming or streaming setup. Finally, the TUF Gaming VG27AQML1A is equipped with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and a USB hub.

PROART MONITORS

ProArt OLED display PA32DCM

Designed for the discerning creative professional, the ProArt OLED PA32DCM features a 31.5-inch 4K pure RGB striped OLED panel with a maximum brightness of 700 nits and covers the 99% DCI-P3 color space for incredibly realistic and detailed visuals. This sleek monitor features a 50% smaller base than its predecessors, freeing up valuable desktop space. Users can also completely remove the base and mount the monitor on a wall or partition in portrait or landscape orientation. The ProArt OLED PA32DCM delivers exceptional color, with 10-bit color depth and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio for deeper black tones and highly detailed HDR content. It also supports multiple HDR formats, including HDR10 and HLG, offers superb color accuracy with a Delta E < 1, and features ASUS ProArt hardware calibration technology, ensuring the most accurate colors. In addition, the ProArt OLED PA32DCM display works with Calman and Light Illusion ColourSpace CMS professional hardware calibration software. It offers extensive connectivity, including a full Thunderbolt 4 port with 90W power, HDMI and a USB hub.

ProArt Color Center is a centralized online tool that helps users manage the color accuracy of multiple ProArt displays that support hardware calibration to ensure color consistency across the production line. It is possible to check when monitors were last calibrated, if they need to be recalibrated. It is also possible to program the calibration time for several monitors, even if they use different color settings and are located in different places. For example, monitor calibration times can be scheduled for a design team in London working in sRGB, and a video editing team based in Taipei using DCI-P3. ProArt Color Center will then calibrate these monitors automatically.

ProArt PA279CRV Screen

The ProArt PA279CRV display is a 27-inch 4K UHD 16:9 IPS display with wide viewing angles of 178°. It is Calman verified and factory calibrated with Delta E color accuracy < 2. It covers a wide color gamut with 99% DCI-P3 and 99% Adobe RGB space. It features a USB-C port with 96 watts of power, making it the ideal monitor for creative professionals using MacBook and Windows laptops. The monitor targets VESA DisplayHDR 400 and MediaSync standards, with DisplayPort 1.4 and daisy-chaining capability, HDMI 2.0, USB hub and headphone jack. The PA279CRV is 30% thinner and has a 33% smaller base, so it takes up less space on the desktop.

In addition to the 27-inch PA279CRV, this series also includes the 24-inch PA248CRV and the 32-inch PA329CRV.

All three monitors are made from 85% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic and come with paper packaging. All three monitors aim to meet global environmental standards.

ASUS ZENSCREEN

ASUS ZenScreen MB16QHG

This 16-inch IPS display in 16:10 aspect ratio, with 2560 x 1600 definition, offers a 120Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth visuals – a first for the ZenScreen portable series. The ZenScreen MB16QHG features a thin-edge design and a foldable L-shaped stand that holds the screen in place at different angles for comfortable viewing positions. Users can enable an auto-rotate function in the ASUS DisplayWidget center so that the content on the screen is always oriented correctly, in portrait or landscape mode. It also features a ¼-inch socket, allowing the monitor to be placed on a tripod so that it is level with a laptop screen. The ZenScreen MB16QHG has a myriad of connectivity options, including two full USB-C ports, an HDMI port and a headphone jack. The USB-C ports are on either side of the monitor, allowing it to be placed near the left or right side of a laptop to minimize the distance between the two for better integration into one’s workspace.

Built-in High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology with 100% DCI-P3 support delivers exceptional contrast and color performance, with the display targeting DisplayHDR 400 compliance.

All future ZenScreen monitors will be packaged in FSC® certified paper packaging to reduce waste and minimize the use of environmentally unfriendly materials.

ASUS ZenScreen MB17AHG

The ZenScreen MB17AHG is a 17.3-inch FHD IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate and FreeSync Premium technology for smoother visuals for work and play. It offers the same ergonomic benefits as the MB16QHG.

ASUS ZenScreen MB249C

The ZenScreen MB249C is a 23.8-inch FHD IPS notebook display with a bezel-less design, manufactured using a proprietary injection molding process that gives it an ultra-thin 17.7mm profile and a total weight of only 2.8kg. It has an integrated carrying handle, making it suitable for a shared workspace. The handle also doubles as a kickstand that allows it to be tilted to different angles for comfortable viewing positions. It includes an ergonomic C-clamp stand that offers height adjustments. It also features a quick release mechanism and a bulkhead hook kit for more placement options. The ZenScreen MB249C includes two 1-watt speakers with smart amplifiers for rich sound. Connectivity options include full USB-C with 60W power, HDMI and a headphone jack. The ZenScreen MB249C is ENERGY STAR® 8.0 certified and is packaged in FSC® certified paper packaging.

ASUS MONITORS & PROJECTORS

ASUS BE24ECSBT

The ASUS BE24ECSBT is a 23.8-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) bezel-less IPS monitor with a 10-point multitouch panel for a smooth and intuitive touch experience. It offers multiple connectivity options including HDMI, USB-C, DisplayPort with daisy-chaining capability, headphone jack and USB hub. The BE24ECSBT connects to a laptop with a single USB-C cable for both video signal and data transfer. In addition, the laptop also charges during use, with up to 80 watts of power. The BE24ECSBT meets ENERGY STAR, TCO, EPEAT Silver environmental certification standards.

ASUS ZenBeam L2

The ASUS ZenBeam L2 is a portable projector suitable for indoor and outdoor entertainment. It features 600 lumens of LED power and native FHD resolution (4K compatible) to provide users with bright projected images with amazing levels of detail. Its short-throw lens is capable of projecting a 40-inch image at a distance of 1 meter, up to a 120-inch image at 3 meters. Three-second autofocus and trapezoidal distortion correction at all four corners ensure a perfect image every time. The ZenBeam L2 includes the ASUS Light Wall feature, which allows users to select 26 different cinemagraphs to vary the mood of any room. The ZenBeam L2 features Google-certified Android TV, as well as extensive connectivity such as HDMI, USB-C (one with DP Alt mode, one for charging), USB Type-A (5V/1.5A), and a headphone jack. A built-in 10W Harman Kardon speaker with movie, game, music, and outdoor modes ensures great sound. The ZenBeam L2 has a built-in battery that provides up to 3 hours of video projection.
