Working closely with Formula One®, each driver’s overall score is influenced by a combination of nine performance scores, all determined by actual race data. Each performance score is calculated from multiple data points, creating a score based on data encompassing previous performances as well as the current 2022 season. As players and their drivers progress through the season, these ratings will adjust to reflect their development and experience throughout their careers. The starting performance ratings are divided into three sections, each containing three individual attribute ratings. The « pace » ratings influence the driver’s raw speed, corner coverage, braking and various reactions during races. Consistency » statistics such as accuracy, control and fluidity greatly reduce the likelihood of driving errors. Finally, « Racecraft » scores allow drivers to adapt to changing conditions, and include adaptability, passing and defense. In addition, each driver has their own aggressiveness value which determines how likely they are to attempt, at the risk of a racing incident, an overtaking maneuver. They also each have a growth potential that highlights the likelihood of their skills developing in the future. Players can explore each of these performance ratings in detail on the official F1® Manager 2022and get more information from the development team during the live stream on Twitch tomorrow at 5pm. However, winning is not only about the drivers! A team’s success also relies on key team members working both on the track and at headquarters to unlock the car’s full potential. Just like the drivers, each key staff member has their own initial performance evaluation. Being unique and specific to each role, these assessments will evolve as their experience level does. As the name implies, these ratings are just a starting point. Team managers can assign development points to each performance rating and directly control the development of their drivers and staff as they gain experience. Each driver and staff member will develop and improve their skills at varying speeds. Just like in the real world of F1®, there will be stars who break through, veterans who reach the twilight of their careers, and many more dynamic nuances that will change the grades as the seasons progress. An additional influence for team leaders to consider is the role of the headquarters. A set of maintained, state-of-the-art facilities allows a team to develop improved components, gain experience more quickly, and even boost morals individually. Future race directors have all the data at their fingertips to prepare for building their own Formula 1® legacy when F1® Manager 2022 will be available: August 30 on PC, PlayStation® 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation® 4 and Xbox One for a suggested retail price of €54.99.
