Benefiting from the 25 years of experience in the development of the ARMORED CORE franchise or that gained through the ELDEN RING game or via the DARK SOULS franchise, ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON is packed with action, explosive mecha battles, extensive customization and thrilling boss battles. The game is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam, and is now available for pre-order at participating retailers and the Bandai Namco Store.
Back to the synopsis: A mysterious new substance called « Coral » has been discovered on the distant planet Rubicon 3. As an energy source, it could have led to huge advances in technology and communication. Instead, it caused a catastrophe that engulfed the planet and its surrounding stars in flames and storms, forming a burning star system. Nearly half a century later, the Coral has resurfaced on Rubicon 3, a planet now contaminated and off-limits. Now, alien corporations and resistance groups are fighting for control of the substance. The player infiltrates Rubicon as an independent mercenary and finds himself in a fight for the substance with the corporations and other factions.
Featuring highly mobile and highly customizable mechas, ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON will immerse players in intense battles, where they can make full use of offensive and defensive maneuvers on the ground and in the air to defeat enemies. To be the most successful and profitable mercenary in Rubicon 3, players will need to master rapidly changing combat distances, use the environment for protection and omni-directional battles to defeat enemies and overcome difficult situations.
