POKÉMON CONTINUES TO EVOLVE INTO 2023 WITH NEW GAME EXPERIENCES, NEW FORMS OF ENTERTAINMENT AND NEW PRODUCTS UNVEILED AT POKÉMON DAY

Pokémon Day, a festive and cultural event for fans, commemorates the release of the first Pokémon games on February 27, 1996 each year. Today, in honor of the event, a special Pokémon Presents video presentation was released online for fans around the world. During the presentation, The Pokémon Company gave a glimpse of new game experiences that will be added to the world-renowned entertainment franchise’s catalog in 2023. The announced projects include additional content for the hit video games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet: The Buried Treasure of the Zero Zone ; The Pokémon Receptionistreceptionist, a stop motion Netflix series; Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic, a premium set of the Pokémon JCC; highly anticipated news on Pokémon Sleep the Pokémon GO Plus+ device; newly discovered Pokémon; and many planned events in the current games.

In honor of the global community of Pokémon fans, The Pokémon Company International has released a digital mosaic featuring the iconic Poké Ball. The mosaic is made up of photos and videos submitted by fans showing their passion for Pokémon. The mosaic is part of a year-long campaign that invites fans to celebrate  » Pokémon Together .

NEW GAME EXPERIENCES, ORIGINAL FORMS OF ENTERTAINMENT AND NEW PRODUCTS

The Buried Treasure of the Zero Zone downloadable additional content for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple

The games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violetreleased for the Nintendo Switch family of systems, exceeded 10 million units sold within three days of their worldwide release on November 18, 2022. This is the highest overall sales record for any software released on a Nintendo platform (all software and all Nintendo platforms combined) during the same period. The Buried Treasure of the Zero Zone will take fans even further into the world of Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet with two separate adventures: Volume 1: The Turquoise Mask, scheduled for release in the fall of 2023, and Volume 2: The Indigo Disc, which will be released at a later date. Players will be able to use their current Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet savegame to continue their adventure in The Buried Treasure of Zone Zero[2]this new additional content will take them beyond the Paldea region, where Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet took place. In Volume 1: The Turquoise Mask, a school trip will be organized to Septentria to take part in a collaborative study with another academy. In Volume 2: The Indigo Disc, players will join the Blueberry Institute, a sister school, as part of a school exchange. The plots of these two separate volumes are linked and tell a single story

In Volume 1: The Turquoise Mask, fans will join a group of students on an annual school trip with another school. They will travel to Septentria, a land of vast, peaceful natural areas, such as rice fields and orchards, and dominated by a towering mountain at the foot of which its inhabitants live. The trip seems to coincide with the annual festival held in the village of Septentria. This festival is enlivened by the arrival of many street vendors for the occasion. Players will meet new people and new Pokémon as they unravel the mystery of the popular stories of this place

in Volume 1: The Turquoise Mask and Volume 2: The Indigo Disc, more than 230 familiar Pokémon from other regions, but not found in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games, will be available for encounter. This includes Pokémon that can be received in-game from Pokémon HOME, as well as Pokémon received through trade[3]. Players will also be introduced to new Legendary Pokémon: Ogerpon in Volume 1: The Turquoise Mask and Terapagos in Volume 2: The Indigo Disc Three additional Pokémon will appear in Volume 1: The Turquoise Mask . They are Félicanis, Fortusimia and Favianos. These Pokémon are beloved by the people of Septentria and have long been considered the protective heroes of the place. Stone statues of them have been erected as a token of thanks.

By purchasing The Buried Treasure of the Zero Zone before Tuesday, October 31, 2023, players will receive a one-time code for a special Hisui Zoroark with three special features[4]. He knows the ability Strings, which he cannot learn in a normal game, as well as Tera Explosion, Heart of Rancor, and Machination. He has the Charisma Badge and he has the Teracrystal Darkness type. This code will be valid until Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Pokémon Receptionist

The Pokémon Company is expanding its diverse entertainment offerings by collaborating with Netflix on a new series called The Pokémon Receptionist, which expands the Pokémon universe with a fresh storyline and innovative animation style. Developed in partnership with dwarf studios, The Pokémon Receptionist takes place in the Pokémon Hotel and focuses on the receptionist Haru, as well as the many visiting Pokémon. Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic

A collaboration between The Pokémon Company, Creatures Inc. and the design firm nendo, Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic is a premium Pokémon CCG set designed to last a lifetime. Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic contains everything you need to play the Pokémon CCG, including pre-built decks and uniquely designed game accessories that are both beautiful and practical, ensuring a refined battle experience[5].

Pokémon Sleep and the Pokémon GO Plus

First announced in May 2019, Pokémon Sleep offers a rewarding gameplay experience for both male and female Trainers, with sleeping and waking integrated into a gameplay dynamic. Today, Pokémon Sleep has been announced for release in the summer of 2023 on iOS and Android devices. Each Trainer will work alongside Professor Neroli, who studies Pokémon sleeping styles, and Ronflex, to conduct research on Pokémon sleep.

Pokémon GO Plus + uses Bluetooth® low power technology to connect to smartphone applications. As such, it can be used with Pokémon GO and Pokémon Sleep. In Pokémon GO, the Pokémon GO Plus + allows you to launch Poké Balls automatically. In Pokémon Sleep, this device can be used to measure sleep alongside the smartphone. The Pokémon GO Plus + will be available on July 21, 2023.

IN-GAME EVENTS

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple

From Monday, February 27 to Sunday, March 12, 2023, there will be special Teracristal raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Trainers will encounter two newly discovered Paradox Pokémon: Water-Serpent in Pokémon Scarlet and Iron-Green in Pokémon Violet. Pokémon GO

Starting Monday, February 27, 2023 at 15:00 UTC, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be available for connection to Pokémon GO. New gameplay experiences will then be available in each of these games, including different ways to interact with Prismillon and Mordudor (Walking Form). Pokémon UNITE

In honor of Pokémon Day, the legendary Pokémon Zacian enters the fray in Pokémon UNITE. From Monday, February 27 at 04:00 UTC to Sunday, March 26 at 23:59 UTC, players will be able to roll the dice they receive (including by logging in) to progress on a board. Adventure coins earned by completing missions on each square of the board can be exchanged for the Zacian Unit license. Finally, to celebrate Pokémon Day, a gift code (POKEMONDAY) has been distributed that allows you to obtain a Zacian Gold Reinforcement Medal, which will be useful in battle. Pokémon Café ReMix

Poussacha, Chochodile and Coiffeton arrive straight from the Paldea region in Pokémon Café ReMix. It’s possible to recruit one of them by participating in the current event. A new dish, the Paldea Regal, inspired by the Pokémon of Paldea, is also being introduced. The « Newcomers of Paldea » event will take place from Monday, February 27 to Friday, March 17, 2023.

Pokémon Masters EX

In honor of Pokémon Day and the three-and-a-half year anniversary of Pokémon Masters EX, Trainers can take advantage of special sign-in bonuses and the arrival of new Master Duos. Those who log in today will receive 3,000 Diamonds as a gift. By logging in in the coming weeks, players will also be able to receive additional bonuses such as a 5★ Master Voucher of their choice at no cost and 10 Duo Calls Vouchers.

LIVE COMPETITIVE EVENTS

Pokémon World Championships 2023

The Pokémon World Championships 2023 will be held in Japan for the very first time, at PACIFICO Yokohama. Today, The Pokémon Company International announced the dates of the event, which will take place August 11-13, and unveiled the official artwork that will be featured at all touchpoints for this large-scale competitive event. Participants will compete in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO and Pokémon UNITE for the title of world champion.
