PowerWash is not a new title. It was released a few months ago in early access before arriving on all platforms in its final version. And it’s on this version that we had the chance to do our test. If the title is published by Square Enix, the game is well developed by FuturLab. And yes… We are indeed on a hose simulator… But let’s see it in this test.
The king of hoses.
PowerWash Simulator is one of the games where as soon as you launch it, you understand what you have to do. The little presentation tutorial is quite simple to understand and anecdotal. Fortunately, there are options to help us, because the goal is to clean 100% of the surfaces. There is always a way to highlight the dirt so that we know what we have to do or find the little corner that we forgot.
In the long run, you will finish the campaign mode in about 30 hours. But for those who want the 100%… Count more than triple in hours. In terms of gameplay, you’ll find yourself in FPS view, having to shoot with your garden hose. But not only, you can add gadgets to go faster or various products depending on the surface. Of course, for a fee. In general terms, nothing revolutionary or crazy. But a gameplay that is simplistic and works well.
While the title may seem lame at first glance, you’ll quickly spend hours cleaning without realizing it and become addicted. That’s kind of what happened to us. We assumed that the title was not for us and in the end wanted the 3 stars in all the campaign. Finally, PowerWash Simulator is a very well finished game with a too limited concept. It takes only a few seconds to play and is quite enjoyable. Especially since a co-op mode is available to play as a professional cleaning company. A real pleasure. The big drawback comes from the fact that some missions end in a minute and others in several hours.
But all in all it’s a very good title to relax between some very angry FPS games or various competitive titles. We are here to take our time.
