NIS America unveils today the opening cinematic of The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie.
The game will be released in physical form in thesummer of 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Through this opening cinematic, players are offered a first look at three stories that weave together to reach the epic conclusion of the Crossbell and Trails of Cold Steel arcs, while setting the stage for an all-new chapter in The Legend of Heroes series.
About the game: When one legend ends, another begins… The intertwined fates of three characters from Zemuria will be decisive in this climactic chapter of The Legend of Heroes series! Follow in the footsteps of war hero Rean Schwarzer, liberator Lloyd Bannings, and the mysterious masked man « C », and alternate freely between these three adventures, thanks to the « Crossroads » system.
Lloyd Bannings, head of the Crossbell Police Department’s Special Support Section, must once again fight for his city’s freedom after Crossbell’s independence celebrations are interrupted by the sudden reappearance of an old threat. After the events of the Great Twilight, Erebonia hero Rean Schwarzer and his students return to normal life on the second campus of Thors Academy.
However, this short-lived peace is disrupted by the emergence of a new threat. When the former governor general of Crossbell suddenly returns and claims the city-state as his own, four people lead a secret mission to investigate his actions. Their leader is « C, » a masked individual who appears to use the same code name as the leader of the Imperial Liberation Front. But for what purpose?
