Today, Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games unveiled a new trailer showcasing the dog handler archetype for their upcoming action-survival TPS, Remnant II. As the name suggests, the dog handler specializes in dog fighting and teamwork to defeat threats. Players will be able to order their faithful companion to attack or distract enemies when the situation gets tricky. The master canine’s main bonus allows his companion to revive him or his allies, while his archetype trait reduces all damage dealt between allies. Remnant II is coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in the summer of 2023.

Remnant II plunges players deeper into a devastated world, where fearsome bosses and enemies will require mastery of the franchise’s frenetic yet methodical mix of ranged and hand-to-hand combat. Go into battle alone or with two friends to help you out and face the formidable challenges that await you. With each new playthrough of Remnant II, players will be transported to a new world assembled from a vast array of locations, enemies, NPCs, bosses and weapons. The different elements of these dynamically generated levels intertwine naturally with the world and storyline, ensuring a unique experience.
The expanded archetype system gives players more flexibility in how they play, and allows for greater group synergy with unique passive bonuses and mind-blowing powers. Multiple archetypes will be unlocked, upgraded, and combined for a greater variety of play styles.
