Xiaomi today unveils its latest high-end smartphones – the Xiaomi 13 series – at its international event in Barcelona. Through a close collaboration between Xiaomi and Leica, as part of the strategic partnership in imaging technology, the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro aim to deliver a whole new smartphone photography experience. Both models are equipped with Leica’s professional optical lenses, as well as a wide variety of advanced features and software, for an authentic Leica experience. Superior photography with a camera system designed by Leica Every aspect of the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro’s camera system and image quality with UI/UX design, was created in collaboration with Leica to deliver a professional quality smartphone photography experience. Both smartphones feature a three-camera setup with Leica optics. The Leica Vario-Summicron 1:19-2.2/14-75 ASPH. camera system on the Xiaomi 13 Pro covers focal lengths from 14mm to 75mm, and consists of a 23mm wide-angle prime lens with a 1-inch ultra-wide IMX989 sensor, a 75mm telephoto lens, as well as a 14mm ultra-wide angle. First appearing on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, the IMX989 sensor is the largest sensor ever built into a smartphone.
