All set for Dawntrail: Final Fantasy XIV Online: Growing Light patch 6.5 to be released on October 3

During a special broadcast of the 79th Letter from the Producer LIVE at the Tokyo Game Show, producer and director Naoki Yoshida announced patch 6.5 for FINAL FANTASY™ XIV Online: “Growing Light”, to be released on October 3, 2023

A brand-new trailer introduces players to the adventures awaiting them in the upcoming patch: new main storyline quests, an alliance raid, a challenge, and much more

Here are more details on patch 6.5

• New quests for the main scenario (Part 1) – Discover the new chapter in the story of the Warrior of Light.
• New dungeon – Take on new challenges in the Lunar Underground.
• New challenge: The Abyssal Fracture – A tough new battle against Zeromus awaits you, on both normal and extreme difficulty.
• New unreal challenge – Take on the fearsome Thordan in the Singularity Reactor (Unreal).
• New alliance raid: The Eorzean Mythos (Part 3 ) – Explore the mysteries of Thalie
• Epic overhaul – The reinforcement system is now available for the dungeons of The Sunken City of Skalla, The Escarre and The Darkness of Ghimlytis. It is now possible to finish all main scenario dungeons solo, from A Realm Reborn™ through to those in Endwalker™.
• Various job adjustments
• Player vs. Playerupdates
  • Launch of PvP Series 5
  • Updates to Crystalline Conflict mini-map and UI
• Insular Bliss updates – New shrine ranks, visions and harvest zone, plus new materials, constructs, plants, animals, island fabrications, buildings and more!
• New customer for customized deliveries: Margrat
• Miscellaneous updates – Opportunities to add new items to the wardrobe, as well as new world accessories, mounts, pets, emotes and more!

During the broadcast, Yoshida also revealed details of new content coming for patches 6.51 and 6.55, which will include
