Minecraft Vanilla – Update 1.21
Agnes Larsson and Jens Bergensten have unveiled the new features that will be added to Minecraft in mid-2024:
- TheCrafter
For the first time, automated manufacturing is coming to Minecraft, a new feature that will be of particular interest to redstone engineers. The “Crafter” also includes a unique intuitive interface to help players new to redstone understand the mechanics of this feature. This intuitive interface introduces activatable slots into the crafting grid, meaning that if an empty slot is clicked with an empty hand, the slot is deactivated. If you click on a deactivated slot, it will be activated to define your manufacturing recipe.
- “Combat Trial Chambers
The “Combat Trial Chambers“ are new procedurally generated underground structures and offer a unique challenge for both male and female players.Combat Trial Chambers are generated using new sets of copper blocks, tuff blocks and copper ampoules
- Copper ampoule
These new light blocks aremade from copper and, like other copper blocks, can oxidize over time, be polished and damaged with an axe.The level of light they emit depends on the stage of oxidation – the more is oxidized, theweaker is !
- TheTrial Spawner
This new type of “spawner” will not produce additional mobs for a long period of time after producing a certain number of mobs, which is different from standard mob “spawners“. Thespawner also rewards players by ejecting his or her loot.Trial Spawners will adjust some of their parameters dynamically depending on the number of players in the vicinity
- TheBreeze
The “Breeze” is the latest hostile mob added to Minecraft. It can be found in the “Combat Trial Chambers” and represents a challenge for players who dare to enter these rooms. The “Breeze“moves by jumping and launching air projectiles that explode on impact, like the “Blazes” that launch fireballs. If it collides with a player or anentity, it explodes immediately. These explosions cover a radius of a few cubic blocks, inflict a small amount of damage and cause all entities in the areato retreat. They are accompanied bya new particle indicating what’s going on, which differentiates them fromaclassic damage explosion
