EA and Respawn unveil the sinister False Pretenses collectible event, running from October 17 to 31 in Apex Legends, in which players will have to face their inner darkness. This all-new event includes Trios Candy or Spell mode, in-game candy, night-time versions of cards and much more

- Candy or Spell Trios – Special copy kits grant players the abilities of other Legends in this action-packed new game mode, while in-game candy grants Legends bonus EVO points, an ultimate ability charge and progressively regenerating shield points.
- Night maps – Night-time, nightmarish versions of Olympus, Canyon of the Kings and Edge of the World join the map rotation. No Legend can escape the darkness.
- Reward tracking and time-limited cosmetic items – Players will be able to earn brand-new items with the False Pretenses reward tracking system, as well as 24 time-limited cosmetic items such as the “Wrong Path” skin for Pathfinder and the matching “Instigation” skin for Spitfire.
- Revenant Prestige Skin – If players manage to unlock all 24 limited-time cosmetic items before the end of the False Pretenses collection event, they will automatically receive the all-new Revenant Prestige skin, “Apex Nightmare”, to spread fear throughout the Wildlands.
