For the first time, two spidermen are playable. Swing, jump and fly your way through Marvel’s New York, thanks to new webbed wings. The setting is bigger than ever, including the two new boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens and familiar spots like Coney Island. You can switch between Peter Parker and Miles Morales at lightning speed. They each have their own epic story and powers. Take on iconic new adversaries, including a modified version of Venom, the ruthless Kraven the Hunter and the angry Lizard.
An evolution of Spider-Man’s story
The developers of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have succeeded in giving the superheroes’ personalities and the story a new, more realistic twist. Peter and Miles face the challenge of reconciling their personal and superhero lives, and protecting the city from the fearsome power of the symbiote.
Peter Parker and Miles Morales have changed since the previous games. That means their abilities have changed too. Gadgets have been improved and are even better integrated into the combo system. Play as Spider-Man and improvise as events unfold. Start an aerial combo by launching an enemy with the Symbiot attack. You can also throw your opponents against each other with the web grappling hook, then unleash other attacks. You can also defend against attacks that can’t be dodged. It’s still possible to escape by swinging, but a well-placed defense can stop an attack in progress and make the enemy even more vulnerable. New web lines let you plot your own route through the air, passing specific points in the environment. This gives you more control over stealth defenses.
