Developed on Capcom’s proprietary RE ENGINE, this brand-new license from the publisher of the cult sagas Resident Evil, Monster Hunter and Street Fighter pits groups of players armed with high-tech Exoskeletons against incredibly massive hordes of ferocious dinosaurs.
The events of Exoprimal erupt in 2040, with the sudden and unpredictable reappearance of dinosaurs threatening the existence of mankind across the globe. To counter this invasion, the powerful Aibius Corp. deploys its next-generation artificial intelligence, Leviathan. This A.I. is capable of predicting where the dinosaurs will appear and sending Exocombatants to protect the area. These warriors wear state-of-the-art armor called Exoskeletons and represent humanity’s greatest hope. The game’s story takes place three years later, when a patrol unit of Exocombatants, the Hammerheads, crash lands on the remote island of Bikitoa, where Leviathan forcibly enlists them as guinea pigs in deadly simulations.
These « competitions » take place in the main game mode, Jurassic Survival. In this mode, two squads of five Exocombatants strive to complete various objectives before the opposing team, while battling swarms of dinosaurs. Missions in this mode change continuously from game to game as players progress. Some matches pit squads against each other, while others require rivals to unite to defeat even greater threats, such as the monstrous Neo T. Rex. Jurassic Survival also features Player vs Player (PvP), Player vs Environment (PvE) and randomized matches.

As players progress through Jurassic Survival mode, they will unlock new Exoskeletons, equipment, cosmetic customization options and narrative content. The Hammerheads’ adventure will unfold through story-related missions, cinematics and « lost data ». This information includes audio recordings, documents and much more, which can be gathered in the analysis map to solve the mystery of Leviathan’s forced simulations and dinosaur invasions.
Capcom will support Exoprimal with robust post-launch updates offering new features, starting with a new mode: Wild Glove. Launching on July 28, 2023, this mode will introduce a particularly exciting PvE experience, offering different missions each week that can be replayed for ever-higher rankings and rewards. The first update will arrive on August 17, 2023 with 10 Alpha Variant Exoskeletons featuring new weaponry. Future title updates will include collaborations with Street Fighter™ 6 and Monster Hunter™, Beta variant Exoskeletons, new enemies, new playgrounds, additional missions, and much more.
A « Deluxe Edition » of Exoprimal is available digitally. It includes the « Starter Kit » as well as the « Exoprimal Season 1 Survival Pass: Premium Level » as a time-limited bonus. The Starter Kit includes three additional Exoskeleton skins and Early Release Tickets for the Nimbus, Vigilant and Murasame Exoskeletons. These Exoskeletons can also be unlocked by playing the Standard Edition. The Survival Pass rewards Exocombatants for their progress in the game, and includes free and premium levels. The Season 1 Premium level offers 19 additional Exoskeleton skins, 10 weapon skins, 4 emoticons, 3 decals and much more.
Exoprimal is a co-op and versus multiplayer action game available since July 14, 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4 and PC (Steam). It is also currently available in Xbox Game Pass for console, PC and Cloud.
