The MSI Clutch GM51 Lightweight or how MSI attacks the competition with a top-of-the-range mouse. Identical to the Wireless except for a few micro points.

Weight counts.

As we said in the introduction, it’s identical to the Wireless version. Except that for our test, we can’t compare it to the Wireless version, as we received the wired model. On the scales, the mouse weighs in at just 75g. Yes, it’s ultra-light, hence the name. Add 10 g for the wireless version, due to the built-in battery

An aggressive price.

In terms of price, the mouse is priced at 70 euros, so MSI is hitting hard here, as you get a quality peripheral at an ultra-competitive price. The competition is often above the 100-euro mark

Good grip.

Let’s face it, the mouse isn’t small. And for hands like mine, it’s a real joy. Where we often end up with mice that are just a hair too small, here we have a shape that totally fits the hand. The Grip is also top-notch, as it prevents the mouse from slipping in the middle of a game. The only drawback is that the mouse is designed for right-handed users only. It is therefore impossible to switch the buttons to convert it

The mouse also features 5 programmable buttons, which for the most part will suffice. For MMO gamers, however, this may not seem like much. So it’s up to you to decide whether or not you want to buy. Especially since Omron switches guarantee no less than 60 million clicks. Yes, we’re talking quality here

On the underside of the mouse, 6 PTFE pads ensure that the mouse remains fluid on any surface. What’s more, the wire is ultra-flexible, so it won’t get in the way when you’re playing

Add to that RGB on all sides, and you’ve got a mouse that glows even at night. However, you can also deactivate it if required, especially as the logo on the back of the mouse will be hidden by your hand most of the time

Finally, the mouse has a sensor that can reach 26,000 dpi, with acceleration up to 50 G. Yes, if like me, you don’t like to move your wrist too much, you’ll be able to cross your screen in just a few millimeters of movement. For the rest of us, it’s entirely possible to adjust it for your greatest pleasure. And of course, you can store multiple profiles in it and switch between them with a click of the mouse

All in all, this MSI mouse doesn’t revolutionize the world of mice. But it does offer an alternative to other brands at a totally affordable, no-compromise price. It’s up to you to decide whether this mouse is right for you, because not all mice are suitable for all hands and uses. For our part, we loved playing with it and would have gladly replaced our Roccat with this one..
